The Sarah Palin of the left is not disappointing.
Maryland’s AG is challenging Trump’s appointment of Whitaker as interim head of the DOJ.
All the animals suffering from California’s shit forest management.
News sucks today, sorry. If you find better news stories, you know what to do.
Let’s end today with some help. Which version is better. One, Two, three, or four?
I’ll forever love one, but four is starting to win my heart.
“The Sarah Palin of the left is not disappointing.”
She Guevarra/Karla Marx is something special.
She is the perfect pol for the Facebook generation
I actually had someone tell me she was better than your usual pol crook, because she was willing to protest. When I pointed out that this sort of protesting was really the tantrum of inept and immature adults incapable of really doing anything that would make a difference, I received scowls and anger from the usual snowflakes that think actually doing real work and adding value, rather than this moral preening you get from these protesters, is so yesterday. I mean, shit! Do actual work? No way!
If she’s better than the usual pol crook, it’s solely because she’s too stupid to figure out how to steal effectively.
On second thought, I’d rather have somebody like Menendez, who will be satisfied with some bribes and banging young girls instead of destroying the entire country in the implementation of a retard utopia.
I take your point Scruffy but don’t give up hope. Occasional Cortex will learn to steal effectively. If Maduro could learn it then so can she.
This only means that she will figure out how to steal ineffectively. With her tastes in expensive shit I guarantee that she will get caught up in some stupidly brazen scam that the media will frantically try to hand wave away.
Bags of cash in a freezer come to mind.
She is the gift that keeps on giving.
Would. (in a hate fuck kind of way)
You have to keep your hand flat so your fingers don’t get bit.
What part of NEVER stick it in crazy do you not understand?

To be fair, because of certain inherent traits, LH wouldn’t be sticking it very far into crazy.
WOAH!
hey now! It’s hard to find a woman who can take all 18″s of love.
That’s when you have sex with her 6 times in a row?
You gotta spread the wealth though so you’ll probably have to get in with her…not so privileged friends too.
I would wood the fuck out of that woman. My seed would open her mind to reality for the first time.
I plan on using my geographic distance as the first line of defense in my extensive trench warfare strategy to keep the crazy away from me. No-man’s land must be as vast as possible. I will also befriend the NoKos for closer range defense. I will seduce them to help me, demonstrating that the more Karla Marx’s that stay in the US can only hurt my nation’s political stability.
Once my super-son is 18, perhaps I shall return to claim him and help escort him to
world dominationhigher education. She’s physically attractive, especially with a bit of weight on her. I find her too thin.
But she’s mentally repulsive.
Would, with duct tape over her mouth to keep her from spouting crazy, and maybe hands tied behind her back just to be sure she doesn’t get all stabby when I whisper in her ear stuff like, “Taxation is theft. National Socialism was actual, here’s where collectivism winds up, socialism …”
Consensually, of course.
“Would, with duct tape over her mouth to keep her from spouting crazy”
What kind of hate fucking is that when she isn’t spouting stupid marxist lines while your fun activity slams her head into the bed board repeatedly??
Oh, no hate fucking. That would confirm the narrative that men are beasts. Just gentle vanilla duct tape and bondage doggy. Maybe a little hair pulling.
No ass slapping?
Flavored duct tape? Genius.
*Drops head in shame* Me too.
Even though they went mega-woke, they are looking like they need to do shit to avoid going broke.
I bet an exec could walk through the HR section of their headquarters firing every other person randomly and nobody else in the company would notice.
I bet if they dumped the entire HR department, things would very likely get better without much effort. This applies to a LOT of companies today…
HEY WHAT ABOUT US!!! Are we chopped liver or something?
– Starbuck’s Diversity Office
Everyone knows the Diversity Office belonged to Commander Adama.
Spoiler — Starbuck was a cylon.
How is that different then most large companies?
Probably just firing the 5% that suggest the coffee doesn’t taste so good.
But not the 95% who bust their humps ensuring it tastes awful.
I think you mean: consistent.
“Consistently burnt, I mean, French Roast.”
Cold brew is the way to go.
Have we reached peak coffee?
Yeah, that’s a shame.
/sarc
The only thing sad here is that the 5% probably won’t be the 5% they could do without. Reuters is reporting that “The layoffs would primarily affect employees at its Seattle Support Center” They’ll cut back on the people who actually add value and keep the woke folks in HR (including Diversity) comfortably in place. I mean, who needs product development and accounting when you can virtue signal?
“Maryland’s AG is challenging Trump’s appointment of Whitaker as interim head of the DOJ.”
I hear Maryland’s claim to having standing to do this is because they are pissed with the DOJ stand on some Obamacare related things, and they hope that by doing this shit they will get their way. I hope they get fucked both ways from Sunday on this.
i dunno bout this one. the Appointments Clause is pretty specific about the Senate’s role. can Trump fast track his confirmation through?
There are some prominent conservative legal eagles who say the same thing. Frankly, this sort of end run makes me very uncomfortable and Team Red would do well to enforce constitutional limits. Bust this open and some day Team Blue will do the same thing.
This does strike me as a tricky situation though: while appointed positions absolutely cannot be filled without Senatorial approval, per the Constitution, with the persistent bureaucracy the agencies these people head continue to run even without an appointment. This means someone is calling the shots, acting as the interim leader, and who gets to decide who this is? It would seem that, of all the branches of government, the executive would get this privilege, as they are charged with running the day-to-day business of the government. In other words, if this is an end run around the Constitution (which it may be), it is only so because of the existence of a persistent bureaucracy, so I can’t see how this could be struck down without also invalidating the idea of the persistent bureaucracy, something I would be most pleased with but that will not happen in a million years.
It’s an acting position. There’s a statute that governs the appointment. It’s perfectly legit, as far as I can tell, not having studied it that much.
SJWednesday: Your Top Ten Lists Are Old and Busted
#1 Privilege – Not carry even a little what you think about me or anything else.
>>13. You can buy a car without salespeople assuming you can be taken advantage of. Chances are, you’ll be offered a better price than a woman.
They obviously never dealt with my wife. She’s a terror when it comes to negotiating price.
They’ll just make up for it in the service department.
Mine too. But it balances out because I’m the worst person to have on your side.
My wife’s English proficiency changes as the negotiation wears on. The closer you are to a deal, the better her English. If you try to tell her that she can’t get full Blue Book value on a trade in, she sounds like she just got off the steamer from Seoul.
Many the salesman has looked at me and pleaded for help in making her understand that she is being unreasonable. I simply look at them and say “it is her show, just ignore me.”
Now getting that car serviced? Totally different deal. She has no idea how cars work and mechanics (especially the big chain ones) see her coming a mile away. In all fairness to feminists, I agree that mechanics do their very best to screw over women. Double that for small Asian women with accents.
People that know they will never rise above mediocrity, but more importantly hate the ones that do, are always going to demand equality of outcome while defining any system that determines people’s position in it based on any form of meritocracy, as an entity that is oppressive and to be destroyed & replaced with the usual porggie quota system.
“we’re inviting you to consider the impact of gender inequality on your life”
And if I consider it, and decide that it’s pointless to waste any energy or time thinking about it? I’m sure that will be fine, right?
Of course. SJWs never assume their question contains the answer.

What makes a man, Mr. Lebowski?
Dude.
Devo?
Thank you Lord Humungus, I’m glad there’s still some culture here.
You bet your ass it’s Devo. Freedom of Choice ftw.
That’s called male privilege.
I am so privileged that I get to be drafted into the governments military to kill/die for the government. I am so privileged that I get to be the last off of the sinking ship. I am so privileged that deference is given to the woman in divorce proceedings, including child custody.
It’s a social construct. Now quit othering me and denying my lived experiences, hater.
Rubio seems pretty on top of the election stunts going on in FL. They will purposely miss the deadline in order to throw the election into the courts.
Was there any doubt this was their plan from the start? Crime syndicates will crime syndicate, and they hope the FLA SC will again throw them a bone. Of course, when it hits the SCOTUS and get reversed, expect calls to impeach Kavanaugh to skyrocket.
He does have a vested interest in making sure the elections are fair, considering he has to face statewide election himself.
Get your surprised faces ready. the local paper in Minnesoda finally covers the fact that BFF* may have a slight problem with (((them)))
So when she was at the only pre-primary debate with other pols, she assured (((them))) that she loved Israel and anyone who mentioned her tweet about Israel being evil and a hypnotizer of the world is a total racist. Hasn’t even been sworn in and she is back supporting the BDS movement.
What is sort of disappointing to me is that she doesn’t seem that bright. How did she think that talking with muslimgirl.com wouldn’t get out if she said controversial things? She also needs to stop calling anyone who criticizes her a Trump-loving racist.
She already has the office secured, and now they can publish this shit and tell people that point out their bias that they covered the story, so there is no bias Jimbo. Your usual low information voter will buy that crap hook, line, and sinker, while those of us that know better will see right true this crap. The sad thing is that the informed will suffer right along with the uninformed.
Is she still married to her brother? Incredible that people would vote for an idiot who hates them just to signal.
I am starting to realize that the real downer is that it is no longer something incredible to watch people make these sorts of real dumb choices.
No. She divorced him. Of course we know this because she used campaign funds to pay for her divorce lawyer.
Like I said, all her grift is so small-time. She’s no Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi.
Now she can learn at the feet of the masters.
I have hopes that she is like She Guevera and is too full of herself to learn. She’s young and full of herself. She is going to show those geezers in the Congress how things ought to be.
Yet.
^^^THIS^^^
Being a democrat she will learn quickly..
Voting for idiots that hate them: Arizonians.
How did she think that talking with muslimgirl.com wouldn’t get out if she said controversial things?
Why would she care? She’s already been elected and the entire national media will be running interference for her anyway. She’ll find a very welcome home in the modern Democratic Party.
muslimgirl.com wasn’t what I thought it was gonna be 🙁

Sabra?!? Sabra is from White Plains, NY and their hummus is made at a factory in Brooklyn. Take that Israel… I guess.
And they use soybean oil in their hummus!
I boycott Sabra because they want to use force of law to define what hummus is (and to punish their competitors):

Co-owned by PepsiCo!
TAKE THAT JEWS!
Their hummus is now made at a factory in Chester, VA. I know this because their head of R&D was a speaker at my econ class two weeks ago.
Did he describe WTH hummus R&D involves?
New hummus flavors, also new dips (she kept emphasizing that they are repositioning themselves to be “more than just a hummus company”.
Brooklyn, Israel… potayto, potahto.
They want it replaced with hummus produced by Palestinians?
*Now I am wondering what the agricultural output by the palestinians looks like.
Huh. The UN says palestinian agriculture is besieged and operating well below capacity.
Of course it is.
They are using all their fertilizer to make bombs for the kids to use to go kill pesky Jews. How in the world are they gonna do agriculture then, huh?

Some people may say I’M a Dreamer, but I’m not only one.
I saw a long twitter thread last night defending Jim Acosta because he corrected Trump on the FACT that the caravan is not an invasion.
FACT.
All the marxist say that invasion isn’t one, so that makes it a fact, right?
But what about libertarians?
I pride myself on my indifference to others.
Fuck off, Tulpa.

That’s exactly what Tulpa would say.
Democrats who were okay with mandated segregation, race-based internment of American citizens, and droning American citizens totally have the moral high ground. We’re not the psychopaths, you are! This elementary Freudian projection shtick is really getting old, but it rings ever true.
If only we had some place where we could rehabilitate the people displaying these very unmutual behaviors.

SOILENT GREEN???
All this crap where people try to use psychology to demonize their opponents is scary to me. Do any of them remember how the commies used crap like that to lock up their enemies?
It is horrible to tell people that they don’t have to engage with people who have different ideas because those people are psychologically damaged. It is OK to ignore them completely. Eventually it will be, it is a shame we let them wander around free because they could hurt themselves or others. We better lock them up for their own good.
Do any of them remember how the commies used crap like that to lock up their enemies?
We had well-stocked mental hospitals right here in America up until the ’70s
Now we just let them all over the streets of San Francisco.
Which is better because reasons.
“All this crap where people try to use psychology to demonize their opponents is scary to me. Do any of them remember how the commies used crap like that to lock up their enemies?”
I suspect they do and is precisely why they are resorting to the same tactics Jimbo. It’s not accidental that these people are using and living by the same rules & narrative as the old time marxists did, because that shitshow allowed the people in power to indiscriminately and ruthlessly dispose of their opposition. And anyone that is not frightened by that is really going to get the surprise of their lives when it starts happening.
You silly peasant. To remember something you have to have learned it in the first place.
That’s exactly the point of it.
For all their talk of how evil the opposition is, all of their studies and philosophies suggest that their sole intention is to develop a rationale for employing violence against their opponents.
“Do any of them remember how the commies used crap like that to lock up their enemies?”
Where do you think they got the idea?
I’m doubtful of any survey / study that includes political party affiliation. A great many people have become so silly about R vs D that they will purposefully skew their answers, either way.
I’m doubtful of any survey / study
/somebody who was offered poli sci grad school because “you actually know math”
When I say that lefties and righties are fundamentally different kinds of people this is part of what I am talking about.
That whole study is pure bullshit. I would be surprised if they didn’t jiggle the numbers or rig the test to get the result they wanted.
Lefties do that a lot – start with a preferred conclusion and work backwards to justify it. Even when you call them on it they are often confused because they dont understand why that is wrong. It is where the ‘false but accurate’ mentality comes from.
They left off where the 55 “other” people fit in. Perhaps the real headline would be “People who don’t associate with the two dominant political parties are less sociopathic”, and fuck with the narrative?
Oh, and since when is boldness a negative trait. “Democrats are wishy washy and indecisive compared to Republicans” — also fucks with the narrative.
And how many people turned down the chance to participate in the survey? 90%?
Man, just on the methodology from the quote alone this strikes me as comically flawed. It’s also blatant political propaganda. Do we still have to refer to this as “science”? Because it’s about as scientific as my making the statement that only people with bad taste prefer sherbet to ice cream.
Uh because it’s fun?
Why Teenagers Mix Drinking and Sex
Anxiety is often a factor. Parents can remind teenagers that their nervousness not only is normal, but also can serve as a warning to help keep them safe.
How much did this study cost the tax payers? I need a cool mil so I can research HM’s fascination with webcam girls, and conclude that dudes like pretty young women that act all slutty for them on cam.
You, sir, have a brilliant idea for research.
Now I need to capitalize on it…
Unfortunately I will be in my bunk….
“We don’t talk nearly enough about the impact of drinking on boys,” says Peggy Orenstein
Yeah, that’s it
That, and girls are using alcohol as excuses for bad behavior too.
Apparently nobody knew about liquid courage until this study came out.
BTW, adults do the same thing. Not to go all Thomas Friedman, but I was getting a coffee the other day and the baristas were discussing how many drinks they would have before a blind date so they would seem more relaxed, but how to not overdo it so they get wasted when they start drinking during the date.
while fairness is a valuable goal, equality for equality’s sake isn’t nearly as important as justice – for liberation’s sake.
In other words, inequality is not really a problem, as long as it benefits *them*.
Senators call for FTC investigation into ads in children’s apps
“As parents increasingly permit kids to engage in online games and apps for entertainment and fun”
I think I found the problem.
As long as there’s no advertising for government, either.
A psychology paper published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences in September found that Republicans surveyed had a small but statistically significant higher level of psychopathic traits than Democrats.
Let me guess: individualism is a psycopathic trait.
Why don’t you want to be part of the Team, Brooksy? What are you hiding?
Wanting to see replication in social science tracks highly with psychopathy.

Check out the levies section, among the proposed new taxes are:
This will be totes cool and good like, because korporashuns don’t make their money selling services & goods to people, whom then have to pay for all the extra cost! Profits are after all evil.
I’m admittedly not a high finance mind, but wouldn’t this new SWF immediately start buying Treasury bonds so that the gubt could keep Social Security propped up for a while? All the while pointing at those bonds and telling us how valuable they are.
Oh wait, it says the fund will be run by the govt. That means that there will be absolutely no corruption because everyone knows govt employees have nothing but the purest motives in their heart.
I’ve changed my mind! Totally on board with this wonderful idea now.
When the Fed buys a bazillion T-Bonds, it’s just the collective us investing in ourselves.
bazillion T-Bonds got changed to “brazillian T-Boys” in my head when I read that.
Probably the most fiscally responsible investment ever made by the govt.
Best Part
The entire proposal is a corruption magnet. It’s a bulletproof method to destroy what little remaining free market exists in the USA. For this reason, I expect a majority of pols to support it.

After the fund is created, the government will gradually accumulate assets for the fund to manage, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate.
LOLOLOL! Setting aside the wisdom (or lack thereof) in this plan, how the heck does this person think that a government $20T in debt and counting will be able to accumulate assets? If you can’t even run a surplus, there’s no way you can start building capital.
You and your stupid male patriarchal dependency on math & logic! Let’s implement this first and we can worry about how it gets paid for after (and by after they mean after they have robbed the system blind and made themselves rich in the process)….
See “new levies” above, that is if you believe that the government can leave separate revenue streams alone.
Needless to say, the entire thing is a scam masquerading as a joke.
See “new levies” above, that is if you believe that the government can leave separate revenue streams alone.

Silly goose. All of my Lady Boy stories take place in Thailand.
Sri Lanka is not Thailand.
You are not trying hard enough then Evan… 🙂
Nice – I spent an extended semester in Sri Lanka and absolutely loved it.
When you left, did you sing “Ceylon, farewell, auf wiedersehen goodnight?”
uh, no
I remember hearing Mötley Crüe – Home Sweet Home as I was getting ready to leave. Like everything else, they started playing it a year or 2 after it was done on American radio.
Thanks for that nut punch about the animals. Jesus.
Nut punching these idiots that think they are doing good by Gaia and then cause these sort of catastrophes might be the only way to knock some sense into their empty head Rufus, so as nasty as it is to rub it in, it is necessary.

Speaking of psycopathic individualoism:
Shrugged III last night. It sucked.
Too much magic. Too much suspension of disbelief regarding (in no particular order) science, satellite observation technology, human nature, subsistence agriculture, geography, plot lines, consistency of character, et c. I suspect most of this derives from the book, and not herely the herky jerky production. How the fuck does Galt Gulch escape detection?
Dagny got better, though. That was nice.
How the fuck does Galt Gulch escape detection?
In the book there’s essentially a holographic canopy over it so it can’t be seen from the air, and it’s not accessible by road or rail. In the book, technology presumably stagnated at the turn of the last century due to the anti-individual and anti-business policies endemic to the world’s governments, and rail travel is still a primary method of transportation and shipping.
Re Trump’s tweet about poor management. Is he on cue or wrong?

More specifically: I’ll take two of 2/20, 5, 22, 18, 8.
I was already in my bunk, though. And now I’m going to the bar for free pickles in honor of International Pickle Day/a bartender trying to gin up warm bodies for a Wednesday night.
None of that is a euphemism.

whoops, derped the reply. Thanks, Jacket.
1, 2, 13, 23.
Hunh. fair amount of overlap today.
2/20, 15, 21, please. And I’ll have a side of that weather. NoVA’s already slated to get snow tomorrow, which means we’re gonna have a cold, snowy winter this year over my way.
It was 25 this morning. In November. In Austin. Been years here when 25 was one of the coldest days of winter.
Sun hasn’t come up yet and it is colder today than yesterday here. 72 “Nation that has walked on the moon degrees” here.
results from a new survey of more than 7,000 undergraduates at Indiana University show that consensual sex is both less enjoyable and less strongly wanted when one or both of the participants has been drinking.
I’ll go out on my favorite limb and postulate that the only thing this “shows” is people tend to answer survey questions as they think they are expected to.
“Less enjoyable”? Maybe.
“Less strongly wanted”? Hahahahahahaha.
“Less strongly wanted”
How does anyone put that down on paper and not realize the ridiculousness of it? Stated versus revealed preferences is apparently an unknown concept.
Charitably, I assume the author has never been to a party.
Uncharitably, I assume the author is an idiot.
When you can decide whether you wanted it well after the fact, and absolve yourself of any complicity due to being drunk, and administrators eagerly accept that excuse, it’s no surprise that drunk sex is “less strongly wanted.” Which, except for the niggling little problem of punishing one of the parties involved, isn’t an irrelevant finding: be a little more circumspect about how much and with whom you drink, bearing in mind that down the line you’ll probably regret what you say or do, and accept that casual sex is a natural consequence of lowered inhibitions but not necessarily what sober you will prefer, and you’ll probably find your sex life is much more satisfying.
But, of course, that’s straddling the line between slut shaming and victim blaming, and doesn’t punish anyone, so common sense is rejected in favor of neo-Puritanism.

The shenanigans will continue until the Democrat “wins”
On Tuesday, news broke that in Palm Beach County, one of the two Florida counties that have been recalcitrant in reporting their voting tallies from the November election, ballot machines broke down. Palm Beach County Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher, who played the race card against Florida governor Rick Scott earlier in the week, saying, “It is very unfortunate that some of the highest elected officials in our country are trying to disrupt our democracy because they don’t like the demographics of our voters,” said on Thursday that all early vote tallies in her county would have to be rerun, according to Terri Parker of WPBF.
As The Daily Wire reported, Parker reported that lawyers for Scott told Judge Krista Marx on Friday that Bucher’s staff was duplicating damaged ballots without the required witnesses present. Bucher’s lawyers argued that Bucher’s staff had each other as witnesses. Miller said Marx stated that she wasn’t sure that’s what “witnesses” meant, but said the counting was over so she let it go. Marx apparently found it a problem that Bucher’s staff did not forward ballots to the canvassing board to decide if they were under or over votes. Marx ordered Bucher to turn over the staff-rejected or decided ballots by 10 a.m. Saturday and to turn over a list of all provisional ballots to the Democratic Party by the end of the day Friday.
But late on Friday, Bucher said it was impossible for her to meet the 10 a.m. Saturday deadline imposed by Marx; she claimed the ballots on which her staff made decisions had already been mixed back in with all the regular ballots and it would be impossible to separate them out and still meet the state certification by Saturday. She asked Marx for reconsideration and an emergency hearing on Saturday.
Marx extended the deadline to noon but opined, “they’re not gonna meet it,” adding there had to be be “substantial compliance” with her order. On Saturday night, Bucher acknowledged that she didn’t make the noon deadline, insisting she would meet the deadline soon and arguing, “We have tried really hard to substantially comply.”
I am substantially concerned about these happenings.
Who said it above? This is a ballot stuffing trial run before 2020.
I did some days ago. And look at the timing with which it leaked that Hilary would run again. Apparently she’s finding these shenanigans sufficiently successful.
Saw a thing on my phone’s news feed that some California races have turned on the basis of this stuff. No points for guessing the party membership of the beneficiaries.
what a corrupt banana republic shitshow.
And once again you see the abject deference shown to the executive branch by the courts. Sorry, judge, your job is to respond meaningfully to allegations of wrongdoing. That means you send sheriff’s deputies or state troopers to impound that shit. You do this from the bench, bang the gavel and tell them to get over there *now* and corral the election staff in the break room to keep them from further tampering with the ballots.

Looking at the pics of the house where the horse fell in the pool, I am surprised a house with a yard like that could even get a home owners policy somewhere prone to wild fires.
The way this would work in practice is that, pursuant to an act of Congress, the Treasury Department would create a new corporation. Let’s call it the American Solidarity Fund Corporation (asfc). The Treasury would formulate articles of incorporation for the asfc and appoint its board members, board chairs, and auditor. From there, the asfc’s board would be responsible for the management of the asfc, including the election of the asfc’s ceo.
Once the responsibility for managing the asf is handed over to the asfc, the Treasury would not be involved in the day-to-day operations of the fund. But it would be able to create rules, mandates, directives, and other sorts of guidance that the asfc would have to follow. This kind of separation will reduce the administrative burden that the Treasury has to take on itself and provide a certain level of operational independence for the fund managers.
Or they could just let the Federal Reserve Bank off the leash, and let them do it. They’re working their way in that direction.
That’s the sad part of it. The Fed is already floating the idea of investing in corporate bonds. And given that the bond market is probably in a long term freefall, I’ll put money on it that they will do it. It’s a corruptocrat’s dream come true.
asfc
Why does that make me think of AFSCME?
In the book there’s essentially a holographic canopy over it so it can’t be seen from the air, and it’s not accessible by road or rail.
Where do those nice bottles of wine come from? And the fresh fruit? Where do they keep the Basque sheep herders? And, and, and…
In other words, it’s Wakanda.
Nearly everything in Galt’s Gulch is produced on-site in the book, by the various genius-level artisans, scientists and technologists who occupy it. Including the d’Anconia copper mine producing the raw resources needed to create and sustain the Galt engine that serves as the generator for the entire city. Rand’s heroes are always quasi-mythological.
You know who else is becoming quasi-mythological…

I thought he hated Glibs now.
Wasn’t his deal that he thinks it’s kind of an echo chamber? Like there’s not enough fighting, basically?
“Yeah, well fuck you, halfwit!”
*drops gloves*
How’s that?
Considering his entire political philosophy consists of a half dozen regurgitated Cato executive summaries and Bleeding Heart Libertarians memes, I kind of doubt it was the echo chamber he objected to as much as the fact that it’s not his type of echo chamber. Reason having descended into Trump hysteria and the buttplug and Tony show, I can’t imagine why he would ever leave.
Pol Thot?
It’s been a while, but wasn’t it also that they did in fact trade with the outside world, they just did it through shell corporations and false identities and so forth? Like they didn’t so much isolate themselves from the rest of the world as secede without telling anyone, type of thing.
Sort of. They travel into the “real” world as much to evangelize as to trade. Hence you find the astrophysicist flipping sandwiches in a diner and the genius composer humming on the subway at various points guiding Dagny Taggart toward her salvation.
The Fed is already floating the idea of investing in corporate bonds. And given that the bond market is probably in a long term freefall, I’ll put money on it that they will do it.
They have been propping up the Treasury market for more than ten years. Why wouldn’t they want to lend a hand to GE? Nobody wants to see GE enter the junk bond market.
GE can and should die in bankruptcy.
GE automotive or GE bank? Or is the former like an anglerfish male grafted to the latter now?

I hate when scientists use emotional language to get people interested in otherwise mundane studies.
From the article: “The air bubbles and dust trapped in this ice would provide key insights on the way Earth’s atmosphere has changed through time.”
Dust and pollen, yes. Air bubbles, no. Whoever came up with the notion that bubbles in ice are hermetically sealed chambers containing pristine samples of ancient atmosphere? That is just dumb.

5′-6″, 150lb Jew terrorizes college campus
Students put on a shameful display Tuesday at Ohio State University, where conservative commentator Ben Shapiro appeared as part of his campus lecture tour. Leftist protesters who gathered outside the doors to the venue led chants of “Reagan’s dead” and “John McCain’s dead” while Shapiro attempted to deliver his remarks.
The foundation also authenticated an email sent earlier on Tuesday to students in the school’s Morrill Scholars Program, asserting that Shapiro’s “rhetoric has the potential to threaten the emotional and mental safety of much of the campus community.” The message, signed by the program’s student advisory council, also noted anyone without a “safe space” or who didn’t “want to be alone” was welcome to gather with other students and staff from 5 to 8 p.m.
“

Well, they’re not wrong.

If I ever found out my kid was involved in something like this the ass-whoopins would be goddamned legendary. Generations from now, people would tell the story of how Bill actually managed to smack the literal taste out of his child’s mouth while somehow really beating actual sense into him or her (depending on the child, not on the LGBTQ matrix or surgery). Following a majestic, sweeping backhand heralded by a booming voice from the sky bellowing “Finish him!”, said child would blink, as if awaking from a deep sleep, and wander off to do things like not look down at his/her phone while crossing the street, drive defensively, and keep $100 in cash in the glove box in case of emergency.
Hey guys let’s head over to Bill’s house and get some beer money. He has $100 in his glove box.
Well, fine, but only if it’s emergency beer, i.e. Natty Light.
Dumb bastards don’t even realize McCain was on their side.

They sucked all the suck last week.
No they did not. There was plenty of suck left over for my Bengals to suck.
I feel like drinking because the bills suck, so I can imagine how losing like that could drive one to make bad choices.
If the Jets play like shit, you must acquit.

GE can and should die in bankruptcy.
Noooooooo!
That would make my shares *completely* worthless. It just needs to be broken up and sold off, like once-loved trinkets at an estate sale.
I’ll trade you my shares in Nortel for some GE stock.
GE Shares have been worthless since around 2001.. I have never regretted leaving over $150K in stock options on the table when I left GE. The fact that the strike price was 3x what GE stock price ended up staying at for the last 17 years, proved that. I am even happier I dumped all my GE holdings a few years back when I saw Immelt’s wokeness and what it would entail. At this point GE is nothing but a rent-seeking has been (that was Immelt’s business trategy in the age of Obama) and deserves to go belly up.
I’ll trade you my shares in Nortel for some GE stock.
I’ll get back to you.
Tell you what, I’ll throw in Oriental Avenue to sweeten the deal.

Bad News Everybody! Looks like another bump in beer prices are coming due to a poor barley harvest in Canada.
Just use more hops to compensate for less barley.
I expect more wheat and rice beers to be coming out next summer.
The Brits used a large amount of sugar in there beers historically. Just up the sugar content and use less barley.
Adjuncts for the win!
Drink bourbon!
There’s a book on brewing that I had (and lent to someone who hasn’t returned it) called Brew Like a Monk, where they talk about using flour as an adjunct in addition to sugar. There was a website I ran across some time back that went through using popcorn in a beer (you can either home malt it, or much easier… pop it).
I was planning on trying a high adjunct beer at some point, but my LHBS doesn’t carry 6-row.
6-row is fun to brew with. I did a few 6-row beers, my Kentucky Common may not have been entirely authentic, but the 6-row was necessary.

Goddamned lazy Canuckstanis! Get out there in your ice paddies and grow some more barley!
Now we know why Rufus is concerned about all of us working…
The corn subsidies have been killing US barley production.

You would think that the number of replacement parts needed for Audi, BMW, and Mercedes would be enough to keep their economy afloat.
i travel through DC about three times per week so i may jump through the hoops for one of their LTC (license to carry) licenses. the only real road block would be that i have to register my firearm with DC. this is risky. we’ve seen Broward’s partisan banana republic shenanigans but DC doesn’t even have token GOP resistance if any of their bureaucrat activists decided they were going to fuck with gun owners and had a handy register of names and addresses. or if a really malicious cunt provided that register to some criminal network looking for homes with stored guns to rob.
Profits are plunging at Victoria’s Secret as a proudly bra-less look takes hold. The most fashionable boobs are now no longer in your face

Who says The guardian does not do serious reporting. Also while Emily Ratajkowsk can easily go bra-less for others the mileage may vary
The ones who can get away with going braless also have the type of body that looks good in Victoria’s Secret. The ones who can’t get away with it are not likely to shop there. So this could be a problem.
I fully support the bra-less movement.
They don’t need any support.

PayPal dropped BitChute:
https://youtu.be/EiMlUhtVRE4
The deplatforming of alternative thought continues.
Just canceled my PayPal, at least they make it easy.
I know they are all doing it for social pressure/signaling reasons, but they’re all setting themselves up for a vicious anti-trust lawsuit.
It goes against my libertarian instincts but, screw it, I hope so.
they’re also doing to their own market share what their competitors have heretofore been unable.
None of their competitors will take on the business they lost either, so it’s a wash basically. You have to set up your own merchant account using a non-US host (and paying about double the fees) if you want to do anything the payment processing cabal doesn’t like.
There are plenty of smaller processors, who combined with Authorize, will take the business.
I hate Paypal anyway, their transaction rates are horrible.
So they’re an alternative to PP that doesn’t bow to pressure? I need to give them a look then.
I loathe PayPal with the burning heat of a thousand suns, and have since they utterly fucked me on a eBay chargeback and locked my account back in 2007 or so. I do use them for a fair bit of my payments though. For the volume I do I’d end up paying as much or more with any of the merchant processors after annual account fees, unfortunately. And a lot of my customers prefer to use PayPal, and I don’t have the heart to tell them how stupid they are for it.
The issue that people like BitChute are going to run into is that all of the payment processors at some point have to intersect with Visa, MasterCard and one or more large US financial institutions, all of which have the same ideological orientation and will happily freeze them out. People like you and me that can fly under the radar have more options.
Woops! Critics are attacking California Gov. Jerry Brown for vetoing a 2016 bill aimed at mitigating fire risks from utility equipment.
Trump obviously shape-shifted into the form of Gov. Jerry Brown and vetoed the bill.
Dispatch From the Fainting Couch: Melania goes rogue
In this White House, no one knows when the ax will fall or who will be swinging it.
A new day of firing and fury culminating in a staggering power play by first lady Melania Trump deepened already historic dysfunction in the administration on Tuesday, leaving top officials blindsided and confused.
Even compared with the senior staff knifings, bureaucratic turmoil and raging chaos that passes for normality in President Donald Trump’s White House, her sudden move against a top foreign policy official was a bombshell.
In a public statement that came out of nowhere, the first lady’s office warned that deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel, with whom she reportedly clashed over a recent Africa trip, “no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House.”
Her dramatic intervention sparked speculation that the first lady was at odds with her husband, was overstepping her role and that the East Wing was going rogue. Melania Trump had already said in an ABC interview last month that she didn’t trust some White House staffers. Now, she is doing something about it.
One person told CNN that, incredibly, Trump, chief of staff John Kelly and White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders had no idea the statement was coming.
———–
But this President’s mercurial temperament and the nest of vipers that is his West Wing has inflicted more nerve-rattling pressure on his staff than is normal even in the White House, where crises are always just around the corner.
The current turbulence and sense of presidential norms being shattered by an emotional and erratic president feels different and more consequential than the wild staff intrigues of early in the presidency. It’s beginning to raise real questions about what is in store for the nation over the second half of Trump’s term.
Good gravy. Somebody’s got a terminal case of the flutters.
We’re doomed. Dooooooooomed!!!!!
nerve-rattling pressure
Like any of these people would be hard-up for work when they leave to write their tell-alls. Give me a break.
Though I will admit they must feel much more pressure than working in an administration shielded from public scrutiny by the reporters who are supposed to be doing the scrutinizing. Obama’s people probably didn’t even thrill to the casual law-breaking. There wasn’t any risk in it.
That is some objective, unbiased reporting right there. Holy crap. They really are foaming at the mouth over Trump.
Got an unusual call from a friend last night. He’s Australian but has lived in Nashville for maybe a couple of decades. He was ranting about how AI has gotten insanely invasive and scary efficient over just the past few months, fearing DARPA and the NSA, and talking about how social media marketing is really about figuring out how to enslave us. Then he asked my thoughts on his going off the grid. I suggested he could take weekends off from technology, as it seems some of y’all here have done. I didn’t really know how to bring him down, as he’s not really in a financial position to wholesale check out. Of interest regarding his politics: liberal Trump hater, and very much pro 2A… pro 2A in his interpretation that it should be used to proactively overthrow the government.
You know who else takes weekends off from technology? (((Hint, Hint)))
In an amazing series of coincidences, there have been 34 (so far) Democrats who trailed on election day and are now victorious thanks to late or “discovered” ballots. 34.
And zero Republicans who trailed on election night have won.
Call in the DOJ maybe? What can be done if the states refuse to police their own election processes?
I don’t know. If this “by any means necessary” stuff isn’t dealt with quickly, we may as well just start shooting each other now.
All the people need to know is that there was an election. The votes don’t really count, and all that does is what the vote counters conclude is the result they wanted.
Maybe it’s time to revisit this article:
https://glibertarians.com/2017/11/firearms-friday-body-armor/
What can be done if the states refuse to police their own election processes?
That depends. If it involves congressional districting or minority voter access then the Voting Rights Act is supreme and the fedgov can go ahead and take over the entire electoral process. If it’s just mundanities like ballot stuffing and fraudulent tallying then my guess is that it’s FUCK YEAH FEDERALISM!
now that’s just greedy. but if nobody at the GOP has the brains or balls, then they’ll get away with it.
If Trump would chime in it’d get plenty of coverage, maybe negative coverage but at least people would be aware of it. I wonder where he’s been.
You’re right. At least then they’d have to make very public proclamations that it’s all a just hell of a coincidence. And maybe, some young, honest reporter would dig into it and write an expose…shortly before being disappeared.
He has chimed on twitter several times in the last week, with his usual nuance and delicacy.
Funny how it never goes the other way.
Those are some seriously pessimistic comments.
I believe the 34 number is the total GOP incumbent seats lost to Dems, and 17 is the number of come-from-behinds since election day.
ps- that thing about Melania is the Top Story on the google nooz.
In an amazing series of coincidences, there have been 34 (so far) Democrats who trailed on election day and are now victorious thanks to late or “discovered” ballots. 34.
And zero Republicans who trailed on election night have won.
Sounds legit.
It’s all because the outstanding Democrats are overcoming the evil Republican voter suppression.
There really are two possibilities.
1) Republicans hid ballots that were cast for Democrats.
2) Democrats created fake ballots for their party and they just “found” them.
The fact that there were ballots found in cars rented by Democrat operatives, and that there was no evidence someone tried to destroy the ballots, pretty much rules out option 1.
Where did you hear the ballots in rented cars story?
KDW mentioned it in his piece from yesterday so i duckduckgo’d around and found that Laura Loomer is reporting that an Avis employee found a box of provisional ballots in a rental car returned to their office by a Dem activist. she posted photos provided to her of what appears to corroborate the claim. then the Broward County Sheriff moved in and shut down Avis and there’s been no more reporting.
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2018/11/12/report-fl-airport-shut-down-over-suspicious-package-that-ended-up-being-provis-n2535755
That’s been going around. It might be fake news, might not be.
It’s damned suspicious. More suspicious is the lack of concern being shown by state boards of election and the local politicians who ought to be demanding investigations and accountability here.
Why should they be concerned over activity that has been going on for decades?
It’s being ramped up to the point where they are stealing Senate seats and rehearsing for a Presidential election.
Historians will see it as a prelude to civil war – like Gaius Marius ignoring the laws against consecutive consulships. If elections are now completely rigged, they’ll become contests of who can rig them better, or just battles. I’m picturing Broward County offices guarded by a militia shooting uncooperative people – everywhere.
I was being facetious.
Maybe even a little glib
More to my point, Democratic voter fraud is par for the course in their municipal strongholds and has been forever. Cities like Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, etc… have electoral systems that would make your average banana republic dictator blush.
It is only natural that they would look to expand these very successful operations to state level elections and beyond. Unless the GOP develops some balls and actually puts some people in jail for these activities, it will continue to expand unchecked.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Let’s use Chicago as an example. We know a the municipal level its been Democratic and will remain Democratic for the foreseeable future. DOJ has little incentive, in political terms, to flesh out which Dem truly won the alderman election. When the vote is for Congress or the Senate I would think that’s something that would matter to them.
Seriously. If left unchecked, the Dems are going to steamroll this through everywhere they can in 2020 and beyond.
If people come to believe their vote means nothing because it’ll be negated by fraud we’re going to have a massive and dangerous problem.
I couldn’t agree more.
The democrats see no problem in this, because they plan to make sure they hold all the levers of power…
Is there data on voter turnout per precinct/district? What kind of correlations are there to voter turnout and the direction a particular precinct or district leans? Is there data that could account for confounding variables like age? It would be interesting data to see.
Alright, which one of you guys is the owner of this company?
I do too. Kudos, glass guy.
That’s awesome. I’ve seen their stuff on Amazon. Very cool.
Damn, USA Today, based on the timeline of links in the middle of the column of that story I can’t imagine what your opinion regarding guns happens to be. No sir, not at all.
Albuquerque returns all fifteen electric buses to their Chinese manufacturer due to mechanical defects. This could mean an eighteen month delay on fully integrating the Rapid Transit project, but not to worry, they’re not ready to scrap it.
Keller said police will not be citing anyone who drives in the ART lanes but that the city will not be opening them up to traffic. “It doesn’t make sense for us to restripe it for 12 months,” he explained.
While Mayor Keller admits the delay is frustrating, he says scrapping the project altogether is not an option and would cost about $200 million.
I hope they lose a good chunk of that bullshit number to legal bills fighting with the manufacturer. This social engineering scheme was batty from the start and only getting dumber.
Also: the delay is frustrating to whom, Tim? The people who transit up that corridor already have bus lines. The drivers who currently have to deal with buses in traffic will someday get to see buses whizzing past them… only to have them stop at the same lights everyone else does. Meanwhile, left-turn lanes will be no less limited tomorrow than they are today. Much more, actually: as it stands, I can hook a left from the bus lane and not have to worry about being ticketed. When the buses go into effect, even that slight convenience is gone. A moribund ART project is the best case scenario, since reversion is off the table. A working ART project is worse.
Well you see, actually transporting people from one location to another is somewhat incidental to the objective of public transportation projects.
I think these imbeciles really believe, or want to advertise believing, that people who drive to work will choose to walk a mile to the stop, or park their cars in burglar-bait lots, to wait in the cold and exhaust, to deal with the transients, beggars, drunkards, or worse, for a trip no shorter than driving. Where’s this fantasy crowd of would-be passengers now? Driving! They already have the option to use the bus. I know; I used it for years. It sucked! If I’d owned a car, I’d have driven. Having electric buses that stop in the median rather than the sidewalk will not entice anyone who has any better option to use public transit.
I’m having my roof, gutters, vents and roof decking replaced this week. The guys doing the work are all from Central America, so before I leave for the office, I tune both TVs to the Latin Pop channel and crank them up loud. Is that racist?

Oglaf’s comic on Sunday has a funny take on that… not going to link because NSFW.
You know, I remember thinking it was absurd that the Italians prosecuted the seismologists for not sufficiently anticipating the earthquake that struck Italy a few years back. That said, I do find myself growing more sympathetic. What consequences are the people who issued this study going to face? If a scientist issues utterly bullshit research for the sole purpose of confirming the opinions of a target constituency, you’d like to think it would ruin their careers. But, obviously, it doesn’t. What’s the disincentive?
In a properly functioning world, the disincentive is losing standing of your ideas within the scientific community and underwriting of your research. However, government grants to politically favored research has eliminated that feedback loop.
government grants to politically favored research has eliminated that feedback loop.
My concern is that the feedback loop may be starting to work in reverse. I see a situation developing where “politically reliable” researchers get the grants and public attention, which in tun feeds their prestige in the scientific community.
It’s a fucking thermometer. You stick it in the water and then read it.
Inadvertent errors, my ass.
I give them credit for admitting it. We know others have tried to hide it or bullshit their way around it.
I loathe PayPal with the burning heat of a thousand suns, and have since they utterly fucked me on a eBay chargeback and locked my account back in 2007 or so.
Those thieving cocksuckers. I basically gave my stuff away on ebay, because I never got any of the money from paypal. I hope they all die horribly.
I just realized that this past Veteran’s Day was the hundred year anniversary commemorating the end of World War I. That was perhaps the dumbest and most consequential war in human history.
There is a reason why World War II is pimped so heavily in our culture, with its pretty clear delineation between “good guy” and “bad guy”. World War I is rarely ever shown on the History Channel or in movies, because its ambiguity over who started the conflict and whether or not either side was pursuing a righteous end is too similar to nearly every other war. People need to believe in the “bad guy” v. “good guy” mythology.
That was perhaps the dumbest and most consequential war in human history.
It was also the war that really upped the appetite of our political class. Yes, government power was already on the upswing. But, WWI really gave them their first instance of an utterly state-controlled society.
It also gave us the Amendment that allows for Federal Income Tax. Strangle Wilson in his crib with your time machine does more to make the world a better place than killing Hitler in his.
That amendment passed before WW I.
Well WWII was an extension of WWI, mostly due to the shitshow interwar proceedings that happened.
Wilson payed a significant part in that.
People need to believe in the “bad guy” v. “good guy” mythology.
Bill Kristol and David Brooks agree.
In addition to the reason you gave, I think another reason that WWI doesn’t get near the coverage on History Channel, et. al is that tank battles and aircraft carrier group battles are way fucking cooler than trading trenches every few days.
True. Watching guys go over the top and get mowed down over and over again can only keep your interest for so long.
Yup. And there is much less film from WW I.
But, this never stops the History Channel or movies from endlessly re-litigating the Civil War.
(I think the History Channel is convinced that the only two wars to have ever occurred is the Civil War and World War II)
Don’t forget the war of alien invasion.
This series, which I posted a few days ago, is pretty good. I don’t know where they dug up some of the footage
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzf9aHZmCAM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYQtsQL6uzA
My favorite WWI documentary. Really fantastic
Motion picture tech was in its infancy for WWI, by WWII it was mature and there is a LOT of cool footage from WWII. Much easier to make a sexy TV show with movies of flamethrower tanks burning bunkers than with grainy, jerky film of muddy dudes climbing over the top.
phrasing!
If Trump would chime in it’d get plenty of coverage, maybe negative coverage but at least people would be aware of it. I wonder where he’s been.
Vote counting irregularities in the most important election ever pale in significance compared to Melania firing somebody for incompetence, insubordination, or both.
Florida Man in even more trouble…

That’s always where I keep my volatile substances.
When I was still in school I considered going into that field. I thought, get a job with Olin or a similar company and I can burn ammo all day for a living. Senior year I started subscribing to the professional journals and trying to get to know people in the business. Then I noticed that every issue of the journals had obituaries in the back. Then some fireworks factory in Pennsylvania blew out every window in the state – probably a janitor trying to sneak a cigarette… I mentioned my concerns to the inorganic chem professor who was my advisor “Haha. Oh yeah. Most of those guys are missing fingers, eyeballs…they all have burn scars. Sooner or later something happens.”
I decided I would stick to reloading as a hobby and go into a different line of work.
This guy is an idiot.
We’re finally ready to stand on our own two feet
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Tuesday called for the creation of a “real, true European army” at a meeting of the European Parliament.
“We have to create a European intervention force so that we can tackle issues immediately on the ground,” she said. “We have already achieved cooperation in the military sphere, that is good, and we are going to continue to support this. But what we should do, and this is really important if we look at the developments over the past years, we have to work on a vision of one day creating a real, true European army.”
Merkel’s remarks come just days after similar comments from French President Emmanuel Macron, who said a European military force is needed to deter potential threats from Russia, China and the U.S., noting that the continent needs “to defend itself better alone.”
“We must have a Europe that can defend itself on its own without relying only on the United States,” Macron said during a radio broadcast last week.
Merkel echoed Macron’s concerns that the U.S. may no longer be a reliable partner in defense.
Go for it. Knock yourselves out.
Oh, wait…
The chancellor added that a European ally would not act as a replacement to existing security alliances.
“I’m not saying it would be against NATO, of course not. We can be a good supplement to NATO,” she said, receiving applause from members of the European Parliament.
Dammit.
They need to start paying their own goddamned freight.
I doubt they can even do that. Their airlift capability is very small. If they won’t commit to developing it then they will always need the USAF to hitch a ride.
Clearly a union of nations that cannot agree on immigration and budget rules is prepared to integrate and coordinate a large military force comprising soldiers from various nationalities with differing languages and culture
Not much hope for an alliance less cohesive than Austria-Hungary fielding an effective military.
We can Uber for them… for a fee.
Alles of them?
We’re mensches like that.
I’m not sure I see much problem with that. They can deal with their local shit, and we have a veto on any overseas adventures.
This is your classic “Have Your Cake and Eat It Too”. So, of course it was said by Otter.

I’m not saying it would be against NATO
Well, maybe we should be saying just that. NATO might have been a good idea for the Cold War. But, the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact that it was created to act as a defense against has been out of the picture for the better part of thirty years. And it looks an awful lot to me like NATO expansion into what has long been Russia’s sphere of influence is no small part of why Russia in 2018 might need to be defended against.
They want an army? Great. It’s about frigging time. We’ve been wasting money on bases over there for too long.
The EU army would not be for countering threats to peace it would be for imposing Brussel’s will on Poland and Hungary.
*ding ding ding*
“We have to create a European intervention force so that we can tackle issues immediately on the ground,”
I thought I read somewhere that Germany does not even have a whole fighter wing that is combat ready.
I saw a story recently, I think it was germany, that said they use broomsticks instead of rifles for drill and some war games. They essentially have no military.
Here’s a story on a report made to the German parliament earlier this year: https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/less-third-german-military-assets-operational-says-report/
Yeah, that’s demonstrating quite a level of commitment. Keep me posted on how that’s progressing.
I don’t get why they are coming out and saying this.
The reality is unless they all at least double their defense spending they are not going to be able to create a credible combined military in the next 50 years. They can’t even maintian proper training and logistical levels on their own today, no way they are going to be able too coordinate across nations. cultures, and languages without a whole lot more in manpower and training budgets forget the fact that they largely do not even have military forces any longer so they all would need to do quite a bit of work building out their organizational structures with new gear and troops.

I anxiously await screen captures of Emma’s breasts.
Ugh, what did Weisz do to her face?
“Dozens of black Israelites who claim they – and not Jews – are the true descendants of the biblical Hebrews descend on Capitol Hill for a protest
They were seen dressed out in their traditional regalia and carrying megaphones, though it is unclear what it was they were protesting.
The Hebrew Israelites are considered a ‘racist and black supremacist’ movement by the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that tracks hate speech in America.
According to Hebrew Israelite philosophy, African Americans, not Jews, are God’s true chosen people.”

Weird flex, but OK?
So they are not from Israel, hate Jews, are waiting for racist black Jesus to return and kill whitey, but they named themselves Hebrew Israelites? We have a contender for peak derp here. Karla Marx better up her game.
I’m sure they’d get on great with the neighbors if Israel turned over the keys and vacated.
“…the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that tracks hate speech in America.”
Uh, no. That is not what they do, not what they do at all.
I don’t remember exactly when Ars Technica went all-in with the climate alarmists (though I suspect it’s been driven by one particular person), but it sure has become a sad spectacle.
https://arstechnica.com/science/2018/11/what-is-going-on-with-californias-horrific-fires/
The author waits until the third paragraph from the end to note that shitty forest management is a major contributing factor to the recent fires.
I won’t hold my breath waiting for the California left to jump all over them for saying the same thing that Trump tweeted.
Trump should just directly quote Ars without attribution:
“20th-century policy of putting out all wildfires as quickly as possible led to a build-up of brush and smaller trees. Instead of more frequent (but less intense) surface fires, this accumulated fuel leads to large forest fires. (Correcting this change in forest character is a primary aim of modern management efforts.)”
then let reactionaries shit all over it for three or four hours.. then have Trump edit his Tweet with proper attribution.
What’s going on with them? The same thing that’s been going on with them for the last 10,000 years.
“McGill students vote to change Redmen sports teams’ name
78.8% of nearly 6,000 students voted in favour of replacing name of varsity men’s teams
The university has said the name stems from the colours worn by its team since the 1920s. However, Indigenous symbols, connotations and unofficial nicknames were propagated by the press and fans in many circumstances.”

I’m in. I need to get some glibs swag first
They should hold it in North Korea, a much freer country than the US.
Well to be fair, North Korea might be more Free than Alexandria
/Alternate universe where McAfee took over the party.
Wait, I thought the Hookers did the serving?
As utensils.
I want to go in there yelling, “Where’s McAfee? I want to meet that glorious bastard!”
I have to say, I feel a great temptation to RSVP and inform them that, regretably being out of town, I shall not be attending. You know, the way RSVP is supposed to work when someone gets an invitation!
It would be funny if a thousand polite people sent in messages explaining that though they are grateful for the invitation that they cannot attend and it swamped the five people who do respond with a yes.
“Show me one war that Alex Jones supported.” My fun night out drinking tonight. Triggered an American tourist. Got the “But he said NewTown were crisis actors!” in response.
My favorite is when I remind people that Tucker Carlson was the only media personality to denounce the Trump administration for bombing Syria.
Killing people is worse than being on the wrong side of history.
latest Change My Mind at TCU: hate speech isn’t real
https://www.bitchute.com/video/hBPbd_JYIdw/
here’s a summary. you’re welcome.
first person- guy from Portland, mildly retarded. just skip to next person at 10:23.
second person- 20 minutes of “language constructs reality” so “how can we as a country allow disparaging rhetoric that radicalizes shooters” therefore hate speech should be illegal… but she doesn’t believe in censorship ?? Crowder called her out on that. this woman is probably good at school but is delusional to not see herself as a censorious scold. her solution was that the top 2% of TOP MEN intellectuals will be able to parametrize hate speech in order to regulate it. seriously. that’s her grand solution.
third person at 34:20- Hillary campaign worker who has seen the light a bit with the illiberal actions of the Left. boring. skip.
fourth person at 41:00- psychology PhD candidate. okay with restricting speech if the “legitimate masses” want it pursuant to “scientific evidence, critical thinking” whatever the hell that means. big pile of dumb dangerous ideas. skip the stoopid.
Language constructs reality. I see. In other words “I am pretending really hard that the world is what I wish it was.”
Constructivism, yeesh. I had this argument for years with my wife until she begrudgingly conceded. Language doesn’t construct reality. Perception doesn’t construct reality. Language influences your perception of reality, yes, but not reality itself; that’s why we call it “reality”. No matter how you interpret your perception of the front of the bus getting bigger and bigger you’re going to be a stain on the pavement unless you get out of the way.
Postmodernism rules the roost at most universities. Perception is the only reality.
censorious scold
She’s hawt. But she is an ignorant c-u-n-t.
She’s hawt.
Really? She looks like a female Ben Shapiro.
Hawt for non-Hollywood left.
The author waits until the third paragraph from the end to note that shitty forest management is a major contributing factor to the recent fires.
I’m not sure how they want to define forest management, but property owners who allow highly combustible vegetation to grow in close proximity and act as kindling for their homes deserve a lot of the blame.
At least up here, there is a fairly well organized effort to get property owners (especially those who might be an hour or more from the nearest firetruck) to establish buffer zones around their structures, and to use fireproof (resistant) building and roofing materials.
They should hold it in North Korea, a much freer country than the US.
They’re free from the stress and pressure of deciding what brand of toothpaste to buy. Or which flavor of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream to put on their rhubarb pie.
Isnt Sarwark the one who put up the photo of Kim Jong Il standing in a field of hemp and claimed that because NK grows pot it is a freer country than the US?
It is such a mystery why the LP has the reputation with the public that it does.
Freedom is defined on two axes:
1. Can you smoke cheap legal pot?
2. Can you have ass sex with Mexicans?
Whether or not you can earn your living, speak your mind, or defend yourself is irrelevant
Is Selma Hayek the Mexican in question? Cause I would totally support that platform
No, Carlos Slim, and you are not in the role you were imagining with Ms Hayek.
Getting pegged by her?
Look, If I am gonna get fucked in the ass anyway I may as well just vote Democrat
Most importantly, “can the state force others to bake you a cake?” because freedom or something
Weren’t you Mark Twain just a minute ago?
It takes a lot of work to out-fruitloop the democrats.
