Incandescent bulbs-
I have a fan in my living room that also has a 3 bulb fixture on it. It’s what provides light to my living room. The third bulb burned out today. On my way home from Jr’s football practice this evening, I bought 3 new bulbs.
They lasted less than 2 hours before all three went out. That’s some bullshit.
I’ve got LED bulbs in most of my lights now.
Me too, but I found out that Philips bulbs are orders of magnitude more reliable than Feits (which is a shame, ’cause Feits have a lot of 3000K choices [like halogens], whereas Philips has far too much 2700K stuff in their lineup). Haven’t had a Philips die on me yet. Most of my Feits died sooner than if they’d been plain incandescents.
I’ve used lots of different brands of LED bulbs and some LED fixtures that are fixed, none have gone out on me yet. I don’t know the ‘Feits’ brand, maybe not available in the USA.
As a film guy I should know a lot more about color temperature and all that, but I have a hard time with it just like I’m tone deaf with audio. I mean, I can see the difference on camera, but now with digital cameras you can adjust after the fact, so I didn’t get so into that as I could have.
I’ve seen Feit pretty much every store that sells LED bulbs. IIRC they are usually a little cheaper than say Phillips or GE
