Nobody is as cynical as someone who has seen the legislative process from the inside in a corrupt place like Albany. I am that someone.
Nevertheless, I sometimes find myself being forgetful and letting a tiny glimmer of hope into my heart.
There are actually a few folks running for office this time around who don’t make me immediately despair. I have plenty of time to be disappointed in them later on.
Rep. Justin Amash, Republican incumbent from the 3rd District in Michigan.
I like Justin Amash. He says reasonable things, and many, or perhaps even most, of his votes on bills are the way I would vote, too, if presented with the same dreck. Amash has one of the best records of doing the most basic part of his job: he shows up to vote. Then, he explains his votes and posts those explanations on various widely-available platforms.
Amash’s seat seems pretty secure. The last time a Democrat was elected as Representative for his district was in 1974, and was soundly defeated 2 short years later.
Larry Sharpe is running for governor of my native state (NY) as a Libertarian.
Sharpe has pleased me with his positions on many issues I find important: the NYS SAFE Act; public education; business development/corporate taxes; fathers’ rights; drugs; occupational licensing(!); victimless crimes.
Significant to this Upstater: Sharpe doesn’t think the state ends in Larchmont. Sharpe and/or his running mate, Andrew Hollister, have been actively campaigning across the entire state, making appearances at veterans’ groups BBQs, libraries, tiny county fairs, farmer’s markets, vape shops, and coffee houses.
Andrew Cuomo and friends have been a disaster for an already besieged state. Larry Sharpe is really the only viable alternative that I have ever seen to the same old corruption in New York.
And then there is Austin Petersen, who is running as a Republican for the Senate seat currently held by the completely unprincipled and not-too-bright Democrat Claire McCaskill.
I’ve only recently begun paying much attention to Petersen, which I’m thinking might have been an oversight. There are some issues on which we don’t agree, but he is massively better than the incumbent or the presumptive Republican candidate, Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.
It’s a crowded field, with eleven people competing in next Tuesday’s primary for the chance to unseat McCaskill.
Petersen has a background in media production and it shows in his use of social media. His Ghost Gunner II Giveaway is a brilliant combination of reaching out to pro Second Amendment voters and trolling the gun grabbers, garnering publicity on both sides of the issue.
Best of luck to him next week. Regardless of the outcome, I predict we’ll be hearing from Petersen for a long time to come.
Rep. Thomas Massie, Republican incumbent from the 4th District in Kentucky.
There are many issues on which I do not see eye-to-eye with Thomas Massie. However, he has been on the right side of the Second Amendment abuses which have been going on forever and are ratcheting up every day. And that goes a long way with me.
Just a side note: The Kentucky list of candidates is pretty amusing. Take a look at occupations.
Unfortunately, our horrible Republican governor is likely to be replaced by an even more horrible Democratic governor. I hate them both, so lets focus on the fact that at least there are a number of candidates for all the state-wide offices from several other political parties!
The Libertarian candidates for governor and attorney general have particularly amusing names.
I almost want to like gubernatorial hopeful “Kash” Jackson simply for the truth-in-advertising nature of the nickname of an Illinois political candidate.
And for attorney general, just a good ol’ boy from Southern IL: Bubba Harsy.
Really, none of the Libertarian candidates have any chance whatsoever. But it heartens me that at least they are now on the ballots.
Please, jump into the comments and let us know who else is out there this year about whom we can feel even marginally OK.
I thought Illinois always rolled on….the (D)
Relevant
Virginia has absolutely no one worth voting for.
In my district the democrat is running unopposed and then kaine or Stewart.
Mine is Brat against some ex-spook lefty bitch. I’ll pass.
Petersen- ‘…but he is massively better than the incumbent or the presumptive Republican candidate, Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.’
Which is why, despite refusing to register as a Republican, I’ve thrown some money his way. I even had a brief exchange or two with his campaign manager via email. I eventually asked if Austin might be interested in an interview with the staff here(this was somewhere around the beginning of the year).
I never recieved a response. My guess is that the site was visited, they recoiled in horror, and never entertained the idea again.
I’m so, so proud of you guys.
*sheds tear*
Indeed. Next pay check I will budget drinking less beer and send some money. I am sure, to Austin’s dismay I am a fan as well. He was who I was rooting for in 2016 L primaries or whatever the hell they call their bone readings and naked fat man dances that delivered Johnson and Weld to campaign for Hillary.
I kinda was rooting for McAfee. Let the Republicans have Trump, we’ll show them some real crazy!
Instead, we got a lukewarm stoner too lazy to give a shit…
I may be way off here but I seem to remember Tarran going on a tirade about how Johnson’s entire campaign was just a pretense so he could filter donation money to pay off private debts accrued during his first run. He used some loophole that I’m not aware of to do this after swearing he wouldn’t. At least that’s what I think Tarran said. Being a lukewarm stoner myself, I may be misremembering.
That *would* explain a great deal.
And i don’t think its actually all that unusual. Bernie and Jill Stein, fwiw, both have had…a variety of issues arise with use of their own campaign funds.
(in stein’s case, she sucked in lots of money in a futile “Recount” effort, which wasn’t even technically part of any campaign, and its not clear where unspent funds ended up; in Bernie’s case… well i think there were at least a half dozen different questions raised about improper funneling of funds, both during and after the campaign)
the impression i get w/ 3rd party or longshot candidates is that its sort of a feast/famine thing, where depending on how things go, they either end up bankrupt at the end, or with piles of money and no place to put it. so there’s always an incentive to ‘run again’ to either get rid of/allocate funds, or raise enough to cover previous bills owed.
“its not clear where unspent funds ended up;”
Haha. What do you mean ‘its not clear’? It ended up in her pocket.
In that race McAfee might have ran up some numbers. Crazy was the soup du jour.
Other candidates (and other personages) have also been “officially” invited to be interviewed here, and same outcome.
You guys scare everyone off. Who would want to be associated with this place in a Google search on a real name?
It wasn’t me!
I believe it was indeed the pineapple on pizza madness that made everyone run from being connected to this place.
But… we’re family friendly! It says it right on the homepage!
Gillespie interviewed Sharpe at TOS.
Seems like I’ve been hearing about this Sharpe guy forever. Maybe worth dusting off my voting skills for the first time in almost a decade.
Well, it’s just been found out that the most liberty-leaning candidate of all time, the former Aqua Buddha, multiple time Senator of the dark and bloody ground of Kaintucky, the infamous Rand Paul of Pualistania of the Paulistas, has been revealed to be the chief Putin bot even in control of the Putin bot of Donald Trump, is now meeting with the Putin to finally hack the tattered remnants of our once great democracy, give up all hope ye of little faith, rend your garments and pour the ashes of our democracy on your putin controlled bot head.
“No matter how cynical you become it’s never enough to keep up.”
Lily Tomlin
She really was a funny broad.
True dat.
Jesus, thats a great quote.
“Larry Sharpe is running for governor of my native state (NY) as a Libertarian.”
*chuckles* *chuckle a little more* *now ROTFLMAO* … hey who is that dumb looking guy to his left?, that guy got the good shit!
Fuck the Aleppo fiasco, my favorite line from him during his last presidential run was when he said he had quit smoking weed for the election to keep ‘knife sharp’. What type, a butter knife? It’s ‘razor sharp’, motherfucker. He couldn’t even get that right.
Yeah, he did this sort of thing all the time. It made me wonder how the fuck he ever won governor in the past. You’d think some sort of basic skill campaigning, talking to media, etc. would be old-hat, but he always sounded like he was just making shit up on the fly. Utterly unconvincing.
Yeah, I remember making it a point to purchase beer with less than a 5% abv for election night as a salute to the LP’s inevitable failure. My beer outperformed Johnson. However, we did get that wonderful thread at TOS as compensation. In my opinion, that was the pinnacle of the Hit and Run Commentariat. A night of endless avenues. After that, the staff over there kinda….well, here we are.
I’ve commented on this before. NEVER, EVER, NEVER quit a fucking substance addiction right before running for president… running for president? NO, NEVER DO THAT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING IMPORTANT! Geez, Gayjay, you ever… like ever, like do you internet?
Rue the day you go under the knife of a surgeon who’s fresh off a coke binge.*
*a buddy of mine has a story
Another great piece on our favorite cyborg.
They’ve been completely ignoring her in this whole Sarah Jeong twitter BS today.
“Maker community.” Learn something new around here every day.
I *loathe* that expression “maker”.
what if it’s followed by, ” ‘s Mark”?
Very well, that is acceptable.
Why?
It’s pretentious “geek chic” lingo. “I’m a maker!” “Yeah, uh… a maker of what?”
I never took it as pretentious at all, just figured these were people who ..you know.. made things, seems like a strange hill to die on.
Agile is still my favorite Cyborg. He wasn’t for everyone but I enjoyed his drug-fueled poetic ravings. I miss that guy.
*shrugs*
I realize I’m just screaming into the void here after a certain hour and before the morning links, but…
Seriously thinking of looking for new work. I cut short a vacay to get some work done on a project that (probably) had a deadline for 8/1. Why do I say probably?
Why, the project manager is a lazy-ass for one. Project was basically complete ~1 year ago. Funding comes in so we dust off the old docs and shine ’em up a bit. This takes me <1 month. Some major revisions were needed because funding was 1/3rd of what we needed to complete the whole project. Also, the funding expires by the end of next month, so it has to be awarded by then. Contracting needs ~60 days. We knew we were *going* to get funded a whole month before it actually got programed to us. Funding comes in and the PM takes a whole week to schedule the first fucking meeting. During that time I had already figured out the direction the project was going to take and gotten key players on board, team meeting was basically a farce to make others feel good, but also to see if anyone had any show-stoppers. Oh boy, did they ever. Our Environmental group was supposed to get the sign-off of the State Historical Preservation Office (SHPO). They've had ~2 years to do this. Come the PDT meeting, our Env. team member still doesn't even know what the fucking project is, despite my having given her the plans months ago, and talked with her extensively. SHPO doesn't like that we're disturbing the soil, even though they know and we know theres nothing out there, they want an archeological survey… okay, lets get one!
At end of meeting everyone has some due outs and I get to work. PM never sends meeting minutes, I talk to him about it, and say I'm going to send them out for him, because I think its important. He insists I send them to him so he can put his fucking disgusting shithead name on it. Yeah, no. Go fuck your self and your mother buddy. I never send out the meeting minutes, because fuck you. No one except me does any of their work, because no one is holding their fucking hand, and they're not professionals, they're bureaucrats.
If I need to do my job and the PM's job (who makes more than me) I want a fucking raise or I'm out of here. Need to talk to the boss I think. Maybe line something else up first.
Huh… Gilmore’d even after reloading the page. Damn.
In keeping with the menstruation article from earlier…
Sorry Tres but nothing will top those tweets. That woman is stone cold crazy and hysterical because she is.
And here in the great state of Ohio, we’ve got that fuckstick Mike DeWine (terrible on gun rights) running against that cuntpickle Richard Cordray (worked enforcement for the CFPB).
Not too many people I hate as much as DeWine. Leave it to the Democrats to find one. We’re screwed.
I thought I couldnt hate anyone as much as Kasich. They’ve proven me wrong.
Oh well, it’s IPA Day, and I’m treating myself to a big unfiltered Double NEIPA from Southern Tier right now. Hopefully, I’ll have dropped enough weight by the election I can just spend the day drinking.
Already looking forward to their Pumpking and Warlock this fall.
Fall? Fuck, there’s Pumpking on the store shelves around me already. Stupid season creep.
Not an IPA but the Chimay Grande Reserve Ale I had tonight was quite nice.
Castle Danger Ode for me. Delicious.
Hardly seems fair to let a Kryptonian compete.

He identifies as human so it’s cool.
As far as I know, there is no good choice for the Governors race in CO. I don’t even think the L party could field a candidate which to be honest is not surprising since the CO L party sounds a lot like a bunch of Progs to me so I am sure they are backing Polis who is a commi.
https://polisforcolorado.com
I won’t be voting for that guy.
“Kash you outside” should be his slogan.
Gesundheit.
What about all of the libertarian Democrats? I slay myself.
They are hanging out with the libertarian socialists.
At a moochers convention?
I’m really liberal with your money! /libertarian socialists
Larry Sharpe
Pictured with Gary “bake the cake” Johnson. Not a good look, but Sharpe doesn’t think the state ends in Larchmont. is good and should work for him (not that I am familiar with NY politics).
Austin Petersen
He has seemed to me like a Republican if Republicans were what they have claimed to be (small gov’t, low tax, enjoy the moral and lawful use of your guns, but don’t kill that thing in your uterus) during my lifetime (which only dates to the early 90s). Definitely better than the majority of Republicans as it pertains to individual freedom.
Massie and Amash are generally agreeable from what (possibly little) I know about them.
I like Massie a lot. Amash is also good, although I think he developed a bit of premature TDS, he’s been pretty quiet lately. Both of them are pretty inconsequential compared to Paul and could both definitely use his guidance on how a libertarian can capture that sort of influence.
Rand is a much more theatrical guy. Massie is scary-fucking-smart.
I actually know quite a bit about Massie and where he is from. I’ll just leave it at that, but yeah, he’s smart and I like him a lot. He’s going to be good for libertarians moving forward.
Just curious about what everyone thinks. But looks like the good buy, Mueller has finally made it to court, after 18 months of his Russia investigation and is going to finally get Trump. I mean by trying Paul Manafort, for.. something? Anyone care to weigh in on the likelihood of this blowing up in the democrat’s faces in spectacular fashion about right now?
trying Paul Manafort, for.. something?
Something unrelated to the object of the initial investigation.
Anyone care to weigh in
Everything post 2016
apocalypseelection and in this “investigation” has blown up in Team Blue’s face and I expect it to continue because they are incapable of dialing down the hysteria. Once you go all in, you are all in And that’s where they are (I think…).There is a definite possibility that Manafort beats this wrap. That would be a both slap to both the DOJ and to the Democrats.
Jeebus. Don’t drink and post.
“That would be a slap to both the DOJ and the Democrats.”
I think he’s going to beat it. We’d better all hope he’s going to. Because what else? It’s going to be crime to be wealthy if you’re not a leftist shill?
Now that’s the interesting part. I’m very interested in what they do with Tony Podesta. If it gets swept under the rug and he doesn’t get prosecuted? Yeah, it’s all a pile of shit.
A heads up: Michael Malice, Tom Woods, and Matt Welch today recorded a live-show/podcast thing which will broadcast …. 8/7. (not sure why the delay. I guess its Malice’s show and it airs once a week)
It ought to be good. i don’t know if its free, but i think all his content goes up on youtube sooner or later.
They seem to me to be among the best-spoken of various conventional libertarian camps (woods is more the conservatarian, malice more the ancap, and welch the cosmo? – may not be exactly right for any of them, but i think they cover very different and interesting spaces, and at the same time are probably the best people to talk to one-another about these sort of divisions, all being at least somewhat simpatico, none too tied up w/ LP)
Also: a new Project Binky is up.
(*that car has been underway for … what, 4 years now? and i still don’t think it has an engine yet. it doesn’t have a front end!))
Does Welch still hit you up for wardrobe advice? If so, I trust you are charging him a consulting fee at this point.
Project Binkey. Nothing on the internet makes me feel more inadequate than watching those guys
I’m looking forward to this one. Good on Welch for agreeing to do this, but he should apologize to Woods
I know sarwark had a feud w/ Woods….. did Welch get involved in the “Wood is a Nazi” thing as well? I wasn’t aware.
I was confusing Welch with Sarwark. I don’t know why.
Malice’s podcasts have been good since he started Your Welcome
It would be crazy if it was a debate between Woods and Sarwark
Good to see you Just Say’n!
Likewise
Agreed.
Earlier today I was thinking ‘Where’s Just Say’n run off to? I enjoyed the contest between him and Count Potato when it comes to who can bring the strongest Twitter derp.’
Had enough of the troll hordes that now comprise the bulk of the HnR comments?
It was Sarwark. But, Welch does paint a lot of the Rothbard/Mises wing of libertarians as “extreme.” in general, the Reason/Cato crowd seems to disparage the Mises.org crowd any chance they get.
Very curious and excited to see how this went. Glad Malice got them both on.
Wait, there’s a Libertarian Party?
Amash subscribes to the Trump-colluded-with-Putin conspiracy. I’d be delighted if he loses–not that I know anything about his district.
I heard him saying something that made me do a double take on the “collusion” hubub. I was very surprised.
No options for my House race (although I’m happy to keep the 5th district Republican to own the libs in Cville) – but for Senate, this guy looks like a good bet: http://virginiaconservative.net/getting-to-know-matt-waters/
Dave Rubin/Larry Sharpe recent interview:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RTj8ZoCiM4E
I heard Sharpe on Dave Smith’s Part of the Problem, haven’t watched this particular interview yet, and I was impressed.
I was also impressed with what he had to say on Dave Smith’s podcast.
He sounds almost overly optimistic, but you’re right. He’s impressive. I hope he wins.
“It’s IPA Day”
I’m drinking Shiner 70 miles from Shiner
That reminds me of Sequin, and a young lady I had the pleasure of meeting once when I was young and in the military….
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWu8Fz49hUM
Escaped Jr and I went and busted some caps 10 miles this side of Seguin this afternoon
That young lady didn’t happen to be involved in collegiate cheer-leading, did she?
I’m a definite fan of Amash, Peterson and Massie. The Libertarian Party banished itself into another decade of obscurity by going with Johnson instead of Peterson.
How does a Libertarian shit all over the Constitution? He supports Gary Johnson for President.
I despise the Libertarian Party but I’m thinking of joining and voting for the Mises Caucus candidates. A lot of the libertarians in the political talk sphere (Tom Woods, Jason Stapleton, several others) have joined the party with the aim of bringing it back to its roots. Maybe all hope isn’t lost.
And Dave Smith
Yep, I’m thinking of doing the same. Woods and Bob Murphy mentioned this in a recent Contra Krugman podcast.
If you haven’t already done so, watch The Swamp.
Massie comes across great, but you’ll leave even more cynical than you are now.
Were you the one who posted about it roughly a month ago? If so then thanks. And you’re right. Watching it made me even more cynical.
Possibly. Sorry about that.
I sent it to my lefty mother. I look forward to her thoughts…
Don’t apologize. I’m glad you shared it even if it makes my blood boil.
And if your mother is like my MIL then she will tell you the actual problem is progressives aren’t in control. You have my sympathy.
My Mom is one of the sweetest, nicest human beings on the planet. Naturally she assumes everyone is like her.
Yeah, it’s not gonna be pretty.
Yeah, thanks a lot a-hole. Like I need 1 more reason to be angry at everyone.
/will watch more
Would it help if I pounded a tall can?
It shows off a pretty effective system. Every one on a congressional committee buys their seat by getting enough donations from the specific industries they’ll be regulating.
Regulatory Capture – a feature not a bug.
I hope you noticed where the Veteran’s Committee landed. “Thank you for your service – now go fuck yourself.”
I see that some people dislike you guys. Well done! And screw this guy: https://franklycurious.com/wp/2017/03/14/glibertarians/
PWND. Destroyed. Epic. BTW, what’s Frank talking about?
Who is Frank? The blog just showed up when I googled the site
Sounds familar, but I don’t remember. I tried to read it and take it seriously, but there isn’t any specific quotes from Glibs besides Sloop saying, “You know nothing of Glibertarians.” Someone who has an ax to grind with Ron Paul and uses this site’s existence to do it?
Me grammer and speling is gud.
The One True Libertarian. Sloopy had found the site and invited him over shortly after this place started. He went straight into poo flinging. Makes Hihn seem rational.
I was about to ask where Hihn got the money to support another URL
My first thought too
Well he is at least three times as insane as some people I have met with 100% disability… so maybe he gets triple SSI?
He’s no-true-libertarian’ing us. A year and a half ago. Has it been that long?!
Thanks for the link – interesting read. While generally a nonsense spewing jerk, I do “generally” agree with the sentiments regarding local government.
I miss your comments on this site and hope for more.
Someone is triggered.
Wow. Read that thread with iseewoodchippers and idiot leftists. They never even really made any arguments, it was almost entirely pure emotion with a petulant little tirade at the end full of projection.
“In 2011, I paid a higher percentage of my income as federal tax than Mitt Romney — and 2011 wasn’t a very good year for me.”
That right there tells me all I need to know.
Finally, parents no longer being separated from their children. Touching.
Seems scripted.
Sorry, Im still pissy about that link to The Swamp sent me to.
Yes, that is definitely possible. I just know how I would react if it were my kid and me. Similar.
Missed all the good stuff this morning and afternoon. Had something more important to do.

Sorry, I just felt like gloating.
Where is that?
Big Belt mtns in central Montana. Our little town is just on the other side from where the pictures were taken.
Nice, I just spent a week and a half driving around Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and the Dakotas. Amazing part of the world.
We just spent a week around Moab, Utah. Get there if you can.
Not a shot at your photography skills, but places like that make it impossible to take a bad picture. Jealous.
Yeah,no real composition required. No matter which way you point the camera it’s beautiful. I still can’t believe I actually live here.
I was just in Missoula a few weeks ago to visit buddies and fish. I’ve been up there a handfulfimes since they moved there over twenty years ago. Love me some Big Sky country. Did you retire there or you find work?
Retired. Moved back after a forty year absence.neve shoulda left.
Bah. I don’t see a single AH in those pics.
(But good on you nonetheless!)
Ground clearance rqts are more than 2 inches.
How’s it coming along?
I put 40 miles on the Spit tonight when I got home from the office. It was one of those perfect Minnesota nights.
Top down on a summer night. Nice. Best time for a sports car.
Got the elderly parents stuff mostly taken care of for now so I can get back to the car.
Awesome.

I blame bad kimchi.
I saw that Seinfeld episode.
Reminds me of a blonde joke.
Blonde with a coach ticket sits in first class and is told to move. She responds “I’m blonde I’m beautiful I’m going to Los Angeles and I’m not moving.” Every one one the crew tries and gets the same response until the captain whispers in her ear. Well! Why didn’t someone just say so! And stomps off into steerage. Captain says “I told her first class wasn’t going to Los Angeles.”
With that I’m off to bed.
I wish this site had a feature that indicated when a new post was up. So that I don’t spend ten minutes writing an answer about peppers that the person who asked will never see.
This post has been up 3 hours, no? BTW, that tweet in response to Jeong’s racist tweets was genius.

It’s ok CP, we’ve all been there.
We try to stick to a schedule for regular posts during the week. Spaced 4 hours apart.
Morning Links: 0700 Central
Midday post: 1100 Central
Afternoon Links: 1500 Central
Evening post: 1900 Central
We’re working diligently to move toward always having an evening post.
Weekend schedules (after the always on-time 0700 Morning Links) are a bit more haphazard because ZARDOZ and STEVE SMITH can’t seem to stick to any kind of schedule. Maybe we need to buy them each a watch.
Like clockwork. Appreciated given you have lives to deal with. Thank you.
A. Thanks for keeping this thing running.
B. Steve Smith referenced The Venture Brothers so he is alright by me whenever he gets to posting.
C. ZARDOZ is the gift (of the gun) that keeps giving. If the vortex screws up his timing that’s just how it goes.
I’ve heard Peterson described as a grifter. I should go back in my podcasts to remember who described him that way, but it was no endorsement.
He has an odd view of the NAP for a libertarian. Seems to take a more pragmatic approach than other L candidates.
I started following Peterson a few years back when he worked on Judge Napolitano’s Fox show. There’s definitely things I disagree with him on, but he’d make a damn good candidate.
Glen Jacobs, the wrestler formerly known as Kane, was elected mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Libertarian leaning Republican. Used to wear Ron Paul shirts backstage at WWE events.
He was by far the best performer in the Libertarian debate on Fox. He, unfortunately, has that asshole feel and look which, let’s face it, matters.
But is he likeable enough to get 3% of the vote and be the greatest libertarian candidate ever?
TBH, he grows on you unlike Gary who does the opposite.
Mister Napolitano. He’s not a judge any more.
Meanwhile, here’s what we get to deal with in Florida
Governor
Replacing Skeletor, we have the choice of (likely, based on polling, the primary’s on August 28) Philip Levine, the mayor of Miami Beach who wants to do all the typical democrat things ($15 minimum wage, assault weapons ban, fucking over charter schools, and wasting money on subsidies to STOP GLOBAL WARMING), or Ron DeSantis, who just ran a commercial showing his kids “building the wall” (we’re going to have a wall around Florida?) and isn’t running on anything other than ME LIKE TRUMP TRUMP LIKE ME.
Senate
This is worse. We have Skeletor versus Bill Nelson, who’s been in Washington for 40 years and if you look up “establishment Democrat” in the dictionary you’ll see his picture.
There doesn’t seem to be anyone independent running in either race. I’m going to write in ZARDOZ for Governor and STEVE SMITH for Lieutenant Governor. I’m writing in Kosaka Honoka for Senate.
I’m not sure STEVE SMITH will want someone, even ZARDOZ, on top.
STEVE SMITH always on top and by on top mean….
Hah…i still lived in Florida when Skeletor was first elected, and I remember how even the people I knew who were voting for him hated his guts. What a weird political career.
New season of Man in the High Castle starts 10/5.
The preview is disappointing, but not unexpected given Amazon fired Frank Spotnitz last season. Seems to be trying to tap into current political sentiments. Rufus Sewell is always fun to see as a Nazi though.
I realize I’m just screaming into the void here after a certain hour and before the morning links, but…

Sorry. Yes, that all sucks.
No, I would recommend not burning your bridges…until you have a helicopter standing by.
I absolutely despise that kind of petty BS, and I hate being the only one actually pulling my weight on a project!
I’m clearly in a different line of work but had a similar experience working for a state government agency. My rage lead me to start my own business. It’s been tough at times but has been far more satisfying and rewarding.
SP is right. Have your exit plan in place before burning any bridges.
