Now YOU look here… I just got up at 6 AM to work first shift after a year of being second shift and rolling my lazy butt out of bed at 9 AM – how the hell do you people do it? This is a positively ungodly hour to be out of bed. It’s just not natural.
This reprobate rolls out of bed at 4 AM for a few hours of coffee drinking and lunch making prior to departure. I am not worth a shit without a slow start to the morning. This morning I got up to a sink full of dishes. I think I used every pot and utensil in the house yesterday. Mondays suck.
That’s what I’m going to miss about second shift: I’d get up at 9, drink coffee and a protein shake, do an hour of exercise (either jogging or lifting weights), eat a huge meal, and take a shower. This would usually take me to about noon, and I’d read books or nap until it was time to get ready for work at 3 PM.
I guess it will be nice when I’m off at 4:30 PM and have the rest of the evening to enjoy myself, though.
I get off at 330 and yes that is nice. Time enough to run errands and then relax with a cold beer poolside which is essential since it will be 100 deg today.
That’s my favorite. Being done by 3:30-4:00
