Good afternoon, my dear Glib friends.
You know how sometimes your day week month year life just isn’t going the way you’d planned? You try multiple times to make things happen, and they do…just not with the results you may have wanted.
What to do?
Day drink!
So here are some (perhaps) tasty cocktails to get me you through. You’re welcome.
SPider’s Kiss
1 part melon liqueur
1 part vodka
Juice from 1/2 lemon
Bottle chocolate syrup
Dash grenadine (optional)
Garnish: chocolate dipped orange slice
Using the chocolate syrup, create a spider’s web inside a martini glass.
Place the glass into the freezer and chill. This part is important.
Place the rest of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well.
Strain the cocktail into the glass that you’ve now taken out of the freezer.
If you’d like to add a little blood to your artwork, drizzle a bit of grenadine down the side of the glass.
Garnish with a chocolate dipped orange slice.
Garnishing Tips
OK, I admit it’s tough to get the web to look nice on the first twentieth try. But you can do it! The key is to chill the chocolate syrup.
It’s certainly not mandatory that it be perfectly formed, because, after all, animals don’t use machines. A little bit sloppy and it just looks organic!
Besides, the web quickly starts to melt into the drink, so people will only be able to hassle you for your food decoration skills for a brief time. Unless someone posts a photo of it anywhere online. Then it allows people to mock you pretty much forever (Hi, Sloopy!).
SPymaster
1 1/2 oz Russian vodka
1/2 oz creme de bananes
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 egg white
Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
#notvegan
SPeaker of the House
1 1/2 oz whisky
1/2 oz ginger wine
1 tsp cherry brandy
1/2 oz lemon juice
Garnish: maraschino cherry
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Shake for about 30 seconds.
Strain and pour over ice placed in a rocks glass.
Garnish with maraschino cherry and serve.
I’m off to survey the possibilities to be had in the living room bar. Have a terrific rest of your day!
SPanish Harlem
2 oz anejo tequila
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
Dash of bitters
Garnish: maraschino cherry
Chill a martini glass.
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
But don’t shake.
Stir, instead, until well chilled.
Strain into glass.
Garnish.
SPudgun
2 parts beer
2 parts vodka
4 parts Drambuie
Mix it together and chug.
Now, it may just be non-beer-drinker me, but this seems like it could be a bad decision.
The moment I heard ‘ozone action’ and ‘air quality alert’ warnings, I cut the grass at lunch.
Cold beer!
Cobra up!
SUP TRES?
Second!
Hey YUFUS!
To hear the SW Ohio media spin-it, during an ‘ozone action day’, anyone with a respiratory condition or asthma will immediately fall over dead upon going outside.
Wait it doesn’t mean run massive electrical generators to create ozone? oops
“The moment I heard ‘ozone action’ and ‘air quality alert’ warnings, I cut the grass at lunch.”
Now THAT’S how earn your libertarian bona fides.
Set phasers to “sideways vagina”.

Can’t you just drink the vodka straight?
(I’ve made up enough electric lemonade for several drinks’ worth and have it sitting in the fridge.)
Yes.
And, I’d drink that lemonade.
That Speaker of the House sounds rather good, but I’d have to buy the ginger wine (which I’ve never had) and cherry brandy.
That sounds like the only one that was actually palatable.
Although, imma replace the whisky with whiskey if I ever try it.
Hence the “perhaps” tasty. But they’d all do the job.
Another clever format for the links. It’s like a scavenger hunt, but you don’t have to get off your ass! Thanks SP.
You’re most welcome.
BTW: I dig the SP themed lynx.
You should volunteer to do a themed links.
We’d lose our Family Friendly rating for sure…
Doesn’t he do a themed links twice daily?
Thank you.
Cordless Screwdriver
2 Shots of vodka
Bite an orange slice
Skip the orange slice.
My kind of drink!
All of my screwdrivers are cordless….
Phillips Screwdriver:
Equal parts vodka/Milk of Magnesia
Equal parts Vodka and prune juice
Pile Driver
2 quarts of vodka

Tried doing some work around the house today. The driver bit in my drill is all messed up and started jumping. But it’s stuck in the chuck. Tried oil, vice grips, throwing it, screaming at it; now it’s sitting slathered in WD-40 while I wait for it to soak some in. If’n taint onethang itsanudder.
That sucks.
I don’t understand how a bit can get stuck in the chuck. I picture my wife trying to pull the bit out with pliers without realizing that the chuck opens.
I’m not saying I don’t believe you, I’m saying I want to see it from a tool disaster porn perspective.
It’s a keyless chuck, and it just won’t budge, locked up somewhere. First time it’s ever happened to me.
That’s ok buddy. Happens to a lot of guys your age. Lots of stress at work lately?
Guys my age? Yeesh, feel bad for a guy in his mid 30s who can’t get it up. Too much bicycling or soy lattes.
Well, guys your age who work for Buzzfeed.

Try tapping it with a dead blow or some other soft hammer.
These euphemisms.
Maybe its the kind that requires a key, and CPRM lost the key.
A 50/50 mixture of ATF and acetone will be far superior to WD40. Try tightening it just a bit, and then loosen. That sometimes breaks the jam. If that doesn’t work, heat it up to break it free.

Another gross one Q. Is this designed as a panty dropper for 6th grade girls? I refuse to believe an adult would order such a thing.
“for 6th grade girls”
Ask OMWC about that one. Seemed to work ok on college chicks though.
Everything works on college chicks though. Hell Maddog 20/20 works on college chicks.
good old Maddog mimosas. Maddog Oranges Jubilee flavor mixed with Andre champagne.
I’d argue that Mad Dog 20/20 et. al. works better than most.
College was Maddog, Jim Beam White, and Icehouse.
It was a dark time. Super dark. Frequently black out dark.
Occasionally I think I wanna drink some of that shit again for nostalgia’s sake. Thankfully I resist those urges.
One of my buddies and I had a college drink “reunion” not to long ago in which we indulged in some Boone’s Farm.
That was a 2 day hangover.
Silly rabbit, Boone’s Farm is for chicks. High School chicks at that.
I did not specify the gender of my buddy…
A summer favorite from college was cutting a small hole in a watermelon and pouring a bottle of Everclear into it. Take it to the beach in a cooler and you can drink your ass off surreptiously, which is important when you’re underaged.
There was a big push, a few years ago, to make 4 Loko illegal. It pissed me off so much, I went out and bought a can.
That I really, really, should have just poured into the dirt. I wasn’t even drunk that night, but the hangover was brutal. Still – Schumer et al: GFY.
But sloe gin is gross and southern comfort is an abomination… Galliano isn’t that great while we’re at it.
Why not rename this drink Long Hard Tastebuds Hatefuck?
“Tastes as bad coming up as it did going down”
Because it’s used as a primer on mixology nomenclature.
Screwdriver – base drink
Slow – sloe gin
Comfortable – Southern Comfort
Wall – Galliano
Somebody likes to get girl drink drunk.

Also, if you ever visit the Omni Parker House in Boston, get their martini. Best I’ve ever had.
The Parker House is a fine choice for old-school cocktailery. I prefer the smaller Parker’s Bar, but The Last Hurrah is a fine choice too.
That’s where I had it, Parker bar. Last hurrah was closed. I was surprised buy how much stuff closed early in Boston.
That area clears out pretty much after work, though latest last-call is “only” 2:00. That seemed super early when I moved here from NY at 19. Now that seems far later than I want to be out.
I’ll note that we tend to head out much earlier due to that, I suspect. It threw me to visit friends in NY and not even head out until 10:30 / 11.
Cool. Bombay Sapphire only.
Well here we go again…

Also, considering the subject, that’s somewhat ironic.
So, the weird thing about this is that The Capital isn’t exactly the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times, either in scope or in its capacity to polarize opinion. We call it “the crab wrapper”. It’s a lot of local interest (and I use the term loosely) stories. Yeah, there are whackos everywhere, but it’s just weird that it’s the Capital that gets it.
My guess? Disgruntled ex-employee.
Ex husband, rejected love interest, something like that.
CNN and MSNBC are like children on Christmas Eve. Hoping they get that gift they want.
It can be funny seeing how small markets try to shoehorn a “local interest” into a story.
One of the cable channels (A&E?) had a special recently on David Cassidy, and the local news claimed that he “liked to visit Saratoga”, which gave it a local angle.
Well, he did also get a DWI arrest in the area.
So everyone is blaming everyone right now before we know who did it and for what reason.
The left is blaming Trump, Milo, and the NRA
Hannity (and now a lot of right-wing twitter as a result of Hannity) is blaming Maxine Waters and Obama
I’m popping another Klonopin.
Be careful with those things. As you know, the very slow onset makes them tricky.
I’m on a regular 2 a day. I occasionally take a third (with my doctor’s blessing) if I’m feeling particularly anxious.
It’s the only thing that keeps me from lying under my desk in the fetal position all day.
I’m kind of a mess.
You’re amongst friends.
No kidding. You (JB) probably deal with it better than at least 80% of us.
Elected Scumbag Chris van Hollen has already tweeted something like “We must do something to end the violence.” So I’m going to say there will be calls for even stricter gun laws in the state by dusk.
That’s how you know a leftist did the shooting.
Never waste a crisis, etc
Of course, if it’s a right wing shooter we’ll be reading about him for years.
If left wing shooter we may never know his motivations.
Kind of miss when newspapers at least pretended to care about covering things.
Poor monkeys.
Oversight is bad when republicans do it.
Jobs are bad if the government can’t wet their beak.
SPudgun:

This definitely seems to be a drink concocted for people who wish to quit drinking. I mean, why not add vermouth as long as you’re going down this road?
and Goldschläger. No drink is so bad it can’t be made worse by Goldschläger
or Jagrmeister
Goldschläger is Satan’s semen.
So is Jack Daniel’s Fireball.
anyone else look at that and want to reduce the terms to 1:1:2?
You’re just trying to rationalize.
How about 8:0:0?
I’ve tried to read “road to serfdom” twice. I just can’t get into it. I think because I’m familiar and agree with his positions it’s boring.
Have you tried watching the pornhub version instead?
I’m listening…
Still doing it wrong, you’re supposed to be watching.
It starts here (SFW)
Noyce
It’s a B&D movie, right?
I listened to it on audible. Hayek is obviously brilliant but his writing style is not exactly griping. I have had to take long breaks between each chapters.
Totally agree. Brilliant just hard to digest.
as much as I hate the idea of abridged books for adults I’d love a paired down edition.
https://fee.org/articles/the-essence-of-the-road-to-serfdom-in-cartoons/
Why bother reading it when you can just watch it happen in real life? Trying to find out spoilers?
I’m trying to decide if I should go long on ammo or toilet paper.
Both. What are you poor?

You can’t defend yourself with leaves.
You might be able to if you’ve been using them to wipe your ass…
If/when the crunch comes, which one will people be trading for the other?
There’s your answer.
I’m cleaning my home office while drinking a Great Lakes Holy Moses Raspberry White Ale. It’s been a good day.
You deserve a great day! Cheers!
(And, maybe you’d drop over and clean at our place next.)
We’re putting our place up for sale and the realtor is coming tomorrow to look at our place, so I want to give a good impression that we aren’t savages and tried to take care of our place.
Best wishes for a quick sale at or above your asking price!
I showed our place to four realtors before picking the one who made the best impression on me.
Ask how they plan to market it. If they mention ‘open house’ in the first ten items throw ’em out.
We had a realtor who did an open house for realtors. The house sold reasonably quickly (3 weeks?), so I think it may not be all bad.
If/when we sell the Casa Dean, I think it will take an open house of some kind – pix just don’t do it justice on the inside. Lots of subtleties in texture, etc. to finishes that you need to appreciate to comprehend why the price is so high.
Open house for realtors is fine. Open house for plebes is lead generation.
Glad to see you back. Find a new place outside of Crook County?
I’m moving to Lake County. So Barrington is in both Lake and Cook County (and a little in McHenry) and I made it clear that I no longer do not want to live Cook County because fuck em.
Both my sisters and their families live in Barrington. If you’re going to be there in the future let’s definitely meet up, I get out there several times a year.
What do you think of the Raspberry variant? I was kind of meh on it.
Hacking the Gibson. Gin. Vermooth. Pickled Onion. Ice-cold glass. Mirrored Sunglasses. Keyboard on the bar. Typing like this while you drink it.
Preferably, this should be on in the background.
The Broke College Kid:
Fill a Solo cup half full with vodka.
Realize you have nothing to mix it with.
Down it in one gulp.
Wince and repeat.
My college room-mate took instant tea and mixed it with everclear when we ran out of sody-pop.
I can’t help but crack up every time I picture him running to the sink while puke is squirting from between his fingers.
Similar story from my college days. We went to hang out with some lady friends before we all went out. They were mixing country time lemonade mix up and mixing that with vodka, I don’t remember why, but I ended up just pouring a cup of straight up vodka and mixing in the lemonade mix without water. Tasted like shit, but I drank it anyway. No vomiting for me though, it was the first drink of the night.
Backpacker’s screwdriver: Everclear and Tang.
No punny cocktails, just some less seen classics:
Toronto:
2 oz. rye
¼ oz. Fernet Branca
¼ oz. simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Martinez:
1 ½ oz Old Tom gin
1 ½ oz Sweet vermouth
¼ oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur
2 dashes Angostura bitters
In either case: combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir well and strain into a chilled glass. Twist orange peel over the drink and use as garnish.
I’ve tried to read “road to serfdom” twice. I just can’t get into it. I think because I’m familiar and agree with his positions it’s boring.
That was pretty much my experience with Capitalism and Freedom. It ll just seemed obvious to me. I never got very far.
I loved it. I agreed with Milt and reading him helped me to strengthen my arguments in support.
Being that I’m on three different psychotropic medicines that have large warnings on the bottle that say “Do not drink alcohol while using this medicine”, I do not drink alcohol.
However, this was a favorite of mine. And it’s copied directly from the Maker’s Mark website, because that’s where I got it from.
Whisky Smash
Ingredients
2 parts Maker’s Mark® Bourbon
4 mint leaves
3/4 lemon
1 part simple syrup
Mint sprig and lemon wheel for garnish
Instructions
Muddle all ingredients except Maker’s Mark® Bourbon in a bar glass.
Add Maker’s Mark® Bourbon and shake with ice.
Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon wheel.
Those aren’t a warning. They are a challenge. SMDH.
Nothing says party like Klonopin crushed up and dissolved in grain alcohol!
Being completely serious here, klonopin + booze was going to be my suicide attempt before my friend (later girlfriend, now wife) figured out how bad off I was and convinced me to talk to my therapist immediately (whereupon I ended up in the psych ward for a week). I know people who’ve killed themselves that way.
(I’m not snowflaking here or telling you not to joke like that. Just saying.)
Yikes.
Benzos + booze is a very, very bad idea.
-1 Karen Quinlan
Hope you are well. My off-hand dumb-ass joke was just that. I know in reality its not a joke.
Thank goodness she was in your life.
Homer: Moe, what do you recommend for severe depression?
Moe: Booze, booze, and more booze.
Lenny: Ha. Nothing like a depressant to chase the blues away.
They have a nice tour if you’re ever up that way.
Webdom and I took the last tour of the day sometime in March while returning from seeing OMWC’s (((Mom))). It was indeed an excellent time. We especially liked the tasting at the end. (Duh?)
Marky Mark gives tastings, now?
Cool. They were in a dry county, so used to be there was no tasting on their tour (been more than 20 years…)
The Jim Beam tour is really good.
I’ll be down there in a couple days. I may have to try to fit them in.
I’ve made that on more than one occasion. That is delicious.
Good plan on the abstaining.
Smashes are great. I prefer rye over bourbon, but tasty either way. They just seem to disappear from my glass too quickly, for some reason…
Well, we can expect the newspaper shooting to be memory-holed pretty quick.
“Only” 4 dead and the shooter apparently used a shotgun.
Body count too low and wrong weapon.
Back to your regularly scheduled MUH SCOTUS!!
If they can tie it in any way to Trump — person voted for Trump, is a republican, etc., we will hear about it non-stop till the election.
No way, man. It’s Maryland. They’ll call for additional gun laws. None of them will have shit to do with shotguns, though. It’ll be like a lower mag cap limit and some other bullshit.
But, as it was a newspaper, the narrative will be that Trumps “fake news” rhetoric inspired the shooter. (But don’t bring up Hodgkinson or w/e/ his name is bc that was totally different and had nothing to do with the actual violent rhetoric of actual violent leftists.)
Anyway, if I have to guess, I’ll go with disgruntled former employee or something.
On second thought, they didn’t happen to publish a picture of a certain prophet of a certain religion did they?
Dude, no shit, by the time I heard about this it was 3:00, and by 3:30 that’s what people were muttering at cubicles all around me. Trump says so much about how the media is evil that he’s triggering violent lunatics. Never mind that the middle part of the Venn diagram of Trump supporters and people who know where the Capital-Gazette offices are is a single point.
Eh, David Hogg will take it. Come on people, a profile? One lousy interview? He’s JONESING!
Well, he is a Capital Newspaper shooting survivor. I’m surprised he’s not in front of a camera as we speak.
Gen-U-wine SP links. Accept no substitutes!
A hungover, draggin’ ass, had to work kind a day. Sucks getting old.
Choir.
I think the only one of those I’d drink is the SPanish Harlem.
I think I’d try the SPeaker of the House. But I lack some of the ingredients.
We’re going to a frou-frou martini joint tonight to hang out with a close friend and see a mutual musician friend. I need to definitely pre-game as the drinks there are NOT budget friendly and OMWC will drive since it’s a school night for him.
Whiskey doesn’t agree with me…
Wait, they let OMWC near a school?
Never convicted.
Shouldn’t it have a rose?
Well, we can expect the newspaper shooting to be memory-holed pretty quick.
“Only” 4 dead and the shooter apparently used a shotgun.
But- but! TRUMP’S WAR ON TEH PRESS!
Glad someone was listening to Joe Biden!
my derpbook acquaintances have assured me our country is entering Handmaid’s Tale territory. there’s really only one issue and they seem to be completely incapable of even considering the other side of the debate.
spoiler alert: ABORTION
“Nobody said anything about banning, we just want common sense fetus control.”
what i’ve learned is that agency not only means free choices, it also means you are completely free from the consequences of those choices.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Un. Hinged.
Having met the person (pre-Trump, thankfully), I can honestly say she’s a real piece of work.
class and brains rolled into one. damn your GF’s friend is a catch.
More of an acquaintance, fortunately.
I said this in the morning links, but…. 24 hours ago most of these dopes had never heard of Anthony Kennedy. Since that time, they’ve been instructed to have an apoplectic breakdown and descend into despair, and boy are they good at that.
the other site has an interesting piece on how Gorsuch voted more liberally than Kennedy this past session. apparently, and i’ve seen this elsewhere, Gorsuch is pretty good on 4A.
These are the same people that continue to believe that the Janus decision was about collective bargaining and not the First Amendment.
Just like they’ve been lying for years about Citizens United being about money rather the 1A also.
I posted elsewhere that Citizens United were a bunch of people who wanted to show a movie, and the harrumphing was amazing.
That was a nice little puzzle to go along with SP’s scavenger hunt. I had to think about what each of those bullet points was referring to. I think I got them all right.
Scott Adams was right when he said people are living in two different movies. I have a completely different take on every one of those things.
i think my movie is a comedy pron mashup.
This is the left’s favorite argument right now.
I still don’t get how Trump is anti-gay. He was for gay marriage about 20 years before Obama.
A. So what? Nobody said every charter school would be a success, just that those with good ideas would thrive (and many do) and those with bad ideas would fail (and many have.)
B. What about the numerous failing unionized public schools? I know, MOAR MUNNEY!! would fix everything (despite charter schools that get better results with less money.)
C. I thought you weren’t going to do my research for me.
How funny would it be if RBG suddenly croaked next week?
Isnt she already dead, tho?
I think if Sotomayer or Kagan go they will really lose it.
My response to that would be:
“Women in America are vastly underrepresented in homicides, suicides, incarcerations, workplace deaths, and homelessness. They outperform boys in k12 education and are more likely to attend college. The wage gap is easily debunked, and in fact women have higher job satisfaction rates than men. Does this sound like the Handmaid’s Tale?”
If you wanted to twist the knife, point out that that film it’s basically the muslim world right now.
Now you’re just showing off.
What kind of day are YOU having?
I just got done with inventory auditing.
*reaches for handgun*
Better you than me!
I spent four hours writing up change documents for a core network change that is happening Saturday, and we were just told of yesterday afternoon. Then on the conference call to start finalizing things, they decided to just wing it for one of the platforms. The only reason I don’t have a beer in my hand now is that I still have errands to run tonight.
It would be a little less terrifying if you could get out from under the desk and return fire while he’s reloading.
Just sayin’.
I’m looking forward to explaining to my liberal co-workers tomorrow why no gun regulations could have prevented this short of changing the state CC policy to shall-issue. By which I mean I’m not at all but won’t be able to shut my stupid piehole after four hours of “TRUMP AND THE NRA ARE KILLING OUR CHILDREN!”
The reload is precisely when you attack the attacker. Especially a shotgun. Time is on your side.
So let me get this straight. ‘Fair play’ is considered a tie breaker with FIFA at the WC as we saw with Japan and Senegal. Japan gets the nod because they had four yellow cards to Senegal’s six.
Sounds totally legit given the wild inconsistencies we’ve seen.
It’s so absurd it’s laughable especially considering the way the cards were handled, for example, in the Por/Ira and Esp/Mor games. You had Pique who should have been shown red but he didn’t even get a yellow. So if they came down to a tiebreaker that could have figured in.
Using a subjective measure (so prone to errors) as a tiebreaker is misguided if you ask me.
Fair play is pretty far down the list – points, goal differential, head-to-head record, (maybe something else)? Just an odd confluence that it got that far (same points, same GD, they tied head to head)
It shouldn’t figure in period in my view. They’re better off using GDP as a criteria. Team with the better GDP per capita wins!
FIFA and fair play is an oxymoron.
GDP, I like it. Let me see if that would have changed the result between Japan and Senegal…
lol.
Why did they stop having an extra game as a tiebreaker? They were common in the past.
The replay? I imagine time and cost.
Was there ever a replay at the group stage in the WC?
There were replays in three groups out of four in 1958.
Interesting, thanks. It looks like the playoff was automatic if 2 & 3 finished equal regardless of any other factors.
It looks like back in the day only wins/losses/draws counted. Later goal ratios, then differentials came into play. And now we’re counting yellow cards.
They introduced shoot-outs in 1982 to end the game and avoid replays.
MLS had it right a few years back. Allow the kicker and keeper to move around. Improve the keeper’s odds plus it was more interesting.
They should bring back the NASL mini-game!
BTW, if you’ve not seen it, Once in a Lifetime: The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos is a really good doc (and I’m not just saying that because there are still images of my father in it).
Yes! The mini-game!
Cool. I may have to get my hands on that.
Chinaglia was a bad boy.
They interview him for the doc. Still a douche 🙂
Yeh. He’s, um, special.
These links are making me thirsty!
Seriously good job SP, the orangutan link was a highlight.
Thank you!
I can already guess the narrative.
Multiple people were shot at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday, according to reports from local media.
Phil Davis, a reporter for the newspaper, told The Baltimore Sun that multiple people were shot. WFLA reports:
A suspected gunman is in custody after a shooting at a newspaper office left multiple people dead in Annapolis, Maryland on Thursday, Fox News reported, citing Anne Arundel Sheriff Ron Batemen.
“Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees,” Davis wrote in a tweet. “Can’t say much more and don’t want to declare anyone dead, but it’s bad.”
CBS Baltimore reports that four people have been killed as a result of the shooting.
ABC7’s Brad Bell reported that multiple sources confirmed to him that the suspected gunman who shot up the used a shotgun.
The Associated Press noted that law enforcement officials are still searching the building and are reporting that the scene is still considered “active.”
Considering it was a crazy, Iranian vegan that shot up YouTube, I’m gonna wait before casting judgement.
See, the shotgun bit kinda reads “crazy old white guy” to me, especially if he’s the type who writes in to the editor a lot. But, there’s a strong “I’ll show ’em! They’ll be sorry!” aspect here, too, that reads mid-20s ex-boyfriend or something.
Wow, how awful. Just sounds horrifying.
But you are correct, no doubt many are already certain this shooter is a crazed right-wing talk radio fan encouraged by Trump’s anti-press stance.
Like I said upthread, it took about twenty minutes for that to be the generally accepted theory at my very liberal office.
I can guess the narrative too. How about this? You took your mask off. You are threatening violence and harassment and openly showing hyour hatred for average Americans and now you want to take our guns away? FUCK. YOU. Never gonna happen, Sunshine. Not now, not ever. If you thought gun control was out of reach before you started showing your ass, it is out of sight now. Forget it.
Ya but she had some nice bolt-ons. Granted they weren’t Superbike class but still good
Still not tired of all the winning.

Ho-Lee-Shit. The Dems just had one of their main revenue streams shut off.
Isn’t it also about time George Soros keeled over?
I predict a lawsuit for private sector employees will follow shortly.
Ine of my favorite things about my job is I work 10 feet away from the giant ice maker for the fresh fish department.
I bring home a container or two of the ice for cocktails, because the machine makes these absolutely perfect little pebbles of ice.
I figured it’s for fishy martinis.
My favorite nameless cocktail (Open to suggestions for a name)
2 oz Bourbon
1/4 oz Krupnik
1/4 oz Lemoncello
Splash of Chocolate Bitters
The Melting Pot?
A winner is you. Can we get a winner gif over here?
The Rumple Stiltskin.
The Crumpled Foreskin.
“The antisemitic cocktail of choice!”
Sounds too sweet for me, but obviously I haven’t tried it. I would probably switch the bourbon to gin in that concoction and maybe throw in something herbal like a sprig of thyme.
While we’re at it, I’ll throw in a vote for your handle’s namesake. Negroni’s are simple and awesome.
I don’t know where that apostrophe came from. Obviously, the plural of negroni is negronorum
It’s generally not too sweet cause of the Krupnik I use and I go easy on the liquors and heavier on the bourbon. At least to me and most of the folk I’ve made one for. But I like the gin idea and some thyme with it.
I’ve not had Krupnik, but I should seek it out, being mostly of Eastern European extraction. And I really like mead (especially dry mead), another honey-based libation.
I’m a big fan of super dry mead, but it’s so hard to find. Seems like everyone expects sweet so that’s what the meaderies tend to produce.
My Dad makes it for me.
It is excellent. My favorite brand is JVR Spirits Krupnik. I met the owner/head distiller. They are here in Oregon. There’s isn’t as sweet as some other brands and have a nice spice to it.
Polish Wallbanger?
Greyhound:
4 parts fresh squeezed ruby grapefruit juice
1 part vodka
On the rocks in a Collins glass.
I love those.
+1
I tried ordering one at the dog track in Houston. The bartender had never heard of it.
Order a Vodka/Grape.
That doesn’t sound like the sort of quality bartending one would expect at the dog track.
LOL
I once ordered a “vodka a grapefruit” at a bar.
The bartender told me, “That’s called a greyhound.”
I said, “I know, I was a bartender.”
He huffed, “And you didn’t think I would know that?”
“Well, I also knew not to start arguments with the customers.”
Heh, excellent. How much did you tip?
Oh, I don’t remember. I wouldn’t have stiffed him though.
Sigh. Still haven’t moved my bar from Utica yet. Drank the remainder of the emergency booze supply at my gal’s house.
Just beer for me then. Thankfully I have a case of tasty Spithern Tier 2X IPA in the fridge.
Running out of weed too. Might have to actually start moving my stuff this week. Miss my guitar and cooking equipment, but the lack of mind altering substances is too much!
Spud’s Manhattan
Over ice add:
2.5oz Knob Creek Small Batch Rye
3/4oz Carpano Antica seeer vermouth
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Stir gently so you don’t cloud up the whisky and strain into a chilled Manhattan glass or a tumbler
Squeeze an orange peel over the glass, rub the rim with the peel and drop into the drink. Sail into the evening…
“Sweet” vermouth.
From last week, Milk & Honey.
Into a shaker:
2 slices of ginger
.3oz honey(2tsp)
.6oz lemon juice(4tsp)
Make sure the honey and lemon is mixed together before adding to the shake. Muddle the ingredients and add:
2oz bourbon
2 dashes Fee Barrel Aged Bitters
Ice
Shake vigorously and strain into a bucket with two large ice cubes.
Is Rosenstein trying to get impeached or fired. He goes down to Congress and tells them to eat-shit and laugh in heir faces every couple of weeks.
Why not, what are they going to do?
Next time, he should just strut around with his pants down and cluck like a chicken.
I think Goudy might just wait for him outside and kick his ass.
Great visual. I lol’d.
Obligatory.
If the headline is correct, it sounds like he knows (or suspects) something is wrong and is afraid of a perjury charge if he covers for his buds.
Oh, for summer cocktails. I recommend my take on the Hemingway.
2 oz rum
3/4 oz grapefruit juice
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 ounce simple syrup.
Fill the shaker with ice. Pour everything in and shake it like you’re masturbating to the inside of Q’s boob filled mind.
Pour into glass, garnish with a slice of lime.
Summer in a glass.
That sounds tasty.
The drink or the masturbating?
Yes.
It’s a panty dropper.
I’d try it.
A close relative of the Papa Doble, reportedly developed for Hemingway while he lived on Key West. I’ve tweaked my recipe – the classic calls for more lime and grapefruit juice, which makes it too acid for me.
4 oz dark rum
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1 1/2 oz grapefruit juice
A short 1/4 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
Shake over ice. Can be served without ice, but I prefer it served over ice.
The classic recipe has 2 oz each of lime and grapefruit juice.
Dark rum is vastly preferable to light rum for this recipe. The Luxardo adds a dry touch that really helps. You should have Luxardo anyway, so you can make proper maraschino cherries and not those dreadful dyed candied cherries from the grocery store.
I thought every Hemingway ended with a bullet to the temple.
Edgy. I like it.
Not so OT: Guinness brewery, 1st in US in decades, to open in August
Finally, the thirty-odd Korean girls who live on campus at UMBC will have something nearby to do.
I don’t care much for cocktails; too much effort. I’ll mix a gimlet every once in awhile but otherwise I’ll just take my liquor neat or on the rocks.
For drinking by myself or with my gal? I’ll have a few straight.
If you have a party or a cookout, however, you want something you can sip on throughout the night.
“If you have a party or a cookout, however, you want something you can sip on throughout the night.”
That’s what beer is for.
It’s harder to slip roofies in beer bottles. Can’t have a STEVE SMITH cookout without roofies.
After I introduced my younger brother to Moscow Mules a few years back, he had a cookout a week or two later and promptly had about 8 of them. Something to be said for the low ABV of beers.
People who aren’t familiar with cocktails, or only watered down weakass cocktails from bars, can get in real trouble. I looked over at one gathering we had that I had made a pitcher of margaritas for (my margaritas are about 2/3 tequila) and saw somebody getting ready to pour a highball glass. That shit might work for girly frozen margaritas, but his wife (and mine, now that I think of it) would have my ass if I let him get that smashed (that glass with rocks would probably deliver around 6 oz of tequila or more), so I let him know he might start with a smaller serving, and could always get a refill.
What you dont like buying 70 different liquors at $15 a pop?
Haha, yeah. Fully stocked bars are for the be-monocled among us; yokels like me go a bottle at a time. And no fancy mixin’ shit!
“$15”? If only. I’m limited by space more than anything, which is probably for the best.
Do you have 27 different kinds of bitters too?
No! Just, uh, 4…
this place is right down the road and has dozens of bitters available, though I keep coming back to the Woodford Reserve Spiced Cherry Bourbon Barrel Aged Cocktail Bitters for my Manhattans.
*solemnly shakes head*
Leave him, JB. He’s beyond parody.
Don’t you judge me! You’re not my supervisor!
(3 of the 4 were gifts)
*Ponders liquor cabinet from memory*
I think I have six or seven different bitters.
Zero here. I’ve got vodka, some peppermint schnapps, and some blue curaçao, and that’s it.
The wine is elsewhere.
If I decide to have a cocktail, it will be one before dinner. After dinner is for sipping out of a Glencairn glass.
That’s me. Happy hour is for cocktails, but for late night brooding over a nightcap, its neat liquor all the way. Maybe a Manhattan. Maybe.
Drankin, yes. Getting ready to head down to the taphouse with wifey to enjoy some brews.
So has anyone else found out yet that She Guevara is also a raging anti-Semite? Maybe I should have just taken that for granted for any commie? Apparently she’s blaming Israel and Trump for Hamas violence. Nice.
I assumed antisemitism was just sort of part of the starter pack for communism.
Yeah, that’s par for the Marxist but remember they’re not nazis because nazis are right wing like republicans.
The Nazis weren’t really socialists, they just wanted to attract socialists so they co-opted the term “socialist”, but they weren’t at all socialist, I’ve been told. Kind of like liberals, I guess.
Sounds like that guy inserted himself into the campaign and has a history of doing the same.
Comic strips came up in the previous comments; for Glibs of a certain age, I’ll bet
planted libertarian seeds in a lot of us
That was supposed to be italicized. (Edit ferry, where are you?)
As a dyed-in-the-wool Bloom County fan from the 80s up till Breathed ended the strip, I was excited for the reboot.
Now, I’m just disappointed.
Perfect.
I love Bloom County and Opus.
Some nice hard cover collected reprint volumes now – go great with my collected Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes, Terry and the Pirates, etc.
They’re reporting the shooter was a white guy in his 20s with a ponytail. No ID, not talking, tried damaging his fingertips so they can’t get prints.
https://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2018/06/28/reports-of-shots-fired-in-annapolis/
My first thought was someone who the newspaper printed something about that the person didn’t like too much.
Who’s the poster who cuts and pasts crazy people’s letters to the editor of his hometown paper?
That’s a high level of crazy. Maybe somebody with one helluva case of paranoid schizophrenia? The age range is about right for when it really kicks into overdrive.
It does sound like the next in a string of crazies.
That would be my guess.
But, so the weird thing about this whole deal is…the Capital? That’s a weird fixation. I mean, I’ve lived in this town all my life and I didn’t even know that’s where they were now. It’s an innocuous multi-business office building between two banks and across from the mall. To find it you’d have to know what you were looking for, and someone in their mid-20s is too young to have strong feelings about the local rag. Maybe he just picked a random set of offices, but it’s just a strangely specific target, particularly when their were more convenient options. It’s damned strange.
Sounds like a sovereign citizen to me. Let’s write fifty editorials denouncing dangerous anti-governmentism just in case!
Anyone ever find out why Steven Paddock shot hundreds of Trumpistas?
I predict similar treatment of this shooter.
I’m surprised there isn’t more noise from the families.

I wrenched my neck something fierce last night and took a pile of Advil. No booze for me 🙁
Yeah, looks like heroin night:) But seriously, hope you feel better:).
Also, feel better.
Pretty sure some fellow glib can tell you exactly what booze and how much to mix with it. Something about off label uses.
I never concerned myself with alcohol vs. ibuprofen, other than planning on maybe having a hole seared in my stomach.
However, I wont take tylenol on a dare, even if Ive been sober for a week.
OT: Today was a good day. After 4 1/2 years of litigation with the most unethical (self-represented), opposing litigant I have encountered, today I got the POS deemed a vexatious litigant.
Today just got even better. I just learned what vexatious litigation is.
….the more you know
I too had to look it up. For those of you that want to enact my labor, its basically an asshole, filing a lawsuit because he’s an asshole for the sake of being an asshole.
Well said. Now if I can just get the judge to put that in the order….
Must be libertarian.
So, Preet Bharara?
Is vexatious litigation always bumptious, or can litigation be exclusively bumptious?
Wait until he sues you to have that overturned.
I remember Stossel doing a report on some judge who was declared a vexatious litigant and appealed it.
He has already sued me, my firm, my wife, and my associate both locally and in the KC area. I don’t think he has gone up against someone who will not back down. He has lost everything so far. The look on him today was wonderful.
Meanwhile, you get to keep racking up billable hours. :-p
If only. There came a point at which I realized this was a knife fight between him and me. I’ve done a lot of work at no cost to my clients because this tumor needs to be cut out once and for all.
Sounds like that guy inserted himself into the campaign and has a history of doing the same.
They edited his letter to the editor.

Nice. Disbarment next? Or is he not even an attorney?
Not an attorney. But, in part thanks to my efforts, now convicted on 12 felony counts. Guy is a complete sociopath. Hundreds of thousands of dollars hidden using fraud. Lots of government disinterest and incompetence dealing with him. I may submit an article proposal when this case is over.
Bravo. The world is a better place because of you. /raises glass
Thank you. I may just have some Scotch tonight to celebrate.
Write it up, Chafed. ProTip: do it real soon, or it will get stale and you’ll lose interest and the critical details that make it interesting.
Thanks RC. Sounds like good advice.

I would also love to read it.
But, in part thanks to my efforts, now convicted on 12 felony counts.

Australia warns of cold war-style espionage as it passes law banning covert foreign interference in politics
“Foreign interference in the latest US and French presidential elections plus the Brexit referendum in the United Kingdom have been cited as justifications for the reforms.”
Umm, if its covert, how will they know about it to file charges?
Did they mean the Australian interference in the US presidential election? Cause it seems to have been rather significant, exceeded only by the British interference.
Dear Hope Solo
I want to like you. But you keep making it difficult. Maybe don’t talk so much. And maybe avoid drunken rage.
Yours truly,
R. Scum
Women drunk raging should be a national sport.
No good players have come out of the flavelas? Oooh, it’s rich, white kids playing it and making it uncool.
She’s talking about the US, not Brazil. I’m not sure she’s wrong, though I’m happy to be corrected. Off the top of my head, I know Dempsey was a poor-ish kid. The most promising young player is a kid who went to Stanford.
Sounds like he’s older than Pulisic.
Sure, but how expensive is it to buy a ball and find an empty lot to play? Poor people support basketball, not soccer. She’s blaming the wrong group.
Maybe this will cut into soccer’s hipster popularity and let the rest of us have the game back.
Don’t you mean “footie”?
Wait a minute. I thought the reason so many third world and developing nations excel in soccer is because it costs virtually nothing.
But yeah, soccer here has become as big of a scam as hockey and gymnastics. Not easy to do. But the money thing is bullshit. If a kid is good, he/she will play.
My younger brother has 3 boys playing soccer (among other things) and essentially spends every weekend driving considerable distances for them to play various games. Equipment-wise, it’s not awful, but it expects quite a bit of time and transportation from the parents these days. He’s a top-hatted plutocrat, so he can do it, but I could see it being a barrier to less well off families, especially those who work weekends.
Every association has scholarship funds. Playing at a young age is dirt cheap. If the kid is incredible, the overly competitive coaches and parents will make sure they participate.
But, yeah. Mediocre athletes will have to just play community ed teams or other clubs.
Wrong, the rich white kid sport in America is lacrosse.
Correct, with soccer right behind it (my nephews also play lacrosse).
Though not always white: https://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/03/sports/othersports/03lax.html – it’s a function of location as much as anything; Long Island is always a lax breeding ground.
My brother’s college teammate was a native american, whose family had been playing for generations.
True, though the lax player in my family right now is my niece, who is biracial (black dad, white mom) and living in modest means. Although, the means are largely self-imposed by the life choices of the mother, who is supported by a father who has a bunch of dough. But she’s kind of the exception that proves the rule.

It’s an interesting idea is that they are bundling the comics with tv shows and movies.
I saw Swamp thing tv show listed and sadly it isnt based on the Alan Moore run it instead features a new female swamp thing Abby Arcane.
It wasn’t the original Swamp Thing show?
I used to watch that. Of course the show had to be centered around him being friends with a little boy, you can’t have a crazy plant man avenging the earth as a show!
Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of jackasses.
I’m not kidding though – this BS will not go away locally. It’s just dragging on and on and on. You’d think there’d never been a protest that got a little out of hand before in this country. Talk about sheltered.
Awesome.
One thing the councillors need to be worried about is open meetings laws. If they had a “walking quorum” (that is, a series of meetings that never quite got to a quorum individually where they decided what to do), and I bet they did, then their formal action could be invalidated and I think there could be damages.
“Southeastern Louisiana University: Students Have Free-Speech Rights for Only Two Hours Per Week
The university’s speech-limiting rules can be found in its University Policy on Public Speech, Assembly, and Demonstrations:
“In accordance with US Federal Court decisions, the University has the right to regulate the time of speech or assembly activities. A two (2) hour time period will be provided to individual(s) and/or organizations for these purposes at Southeastern,” the policy states. “Speech/assembly activities will be limited to one two hour time limit per seven-day period, commencing the Monday of each week.”
In addition to restricting when speech is allowed, Southeastern also strictly limits where it is allowed. According to the policy, “Public discussion and/or peaceful public assembly or demonstration” is allowed “without prior administrative approval” in three locations only: the steps of and the “grassy area” near the Student Union Annex, the “grassy area in front of” a student-activity center, and the “Presidential Plaza area.” Furthermore, students need to register to use these spaces for “public speech or assembly a minimum of seven (7) days in advance through the office of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.””

Throw in the IRS and the department of education and a couple others and I’ll get on board.
I could come up with a hell of a long list of agencies to dissolve, ICE being one. Why do we need ICE? What happened to the INS?
I thought ICE was enforcement for INS?
Hell, I dont know. I have just seem too many redundant departments of redundancy so I assume this is just another one. How many agencies deal with illegal aliens? Does anyone know? We only need one.
INS INS baby didn’t have the same ring
INS, Customs, & Border Patrol were melded and broken into ICE and CBP.
INS and Border Patrol were DOJ agencies. Customs was Treasury. Both ICE and CBP are Homeland Security now.
So just shut down DHS?
It was created as a problem in search of a solution, so hell yeah.
Ruh roh.

Anyone heard any updates on this guy? I remember the guy a year or two back who burned himself to death in front of the VA in NJ because he couldn’t get an appointment for mental health – wondering if this is similar or something different.
Did you watch that The Swamp documentary? Massie talked about how the Veteran’s Affairs committee was one of the least desirable and cheapest committees.
“Thank you for your service” might just be cynical pablum. Huh.
Haven’t seen that, but seeing Bernie as one of the senior folks there – presumably solely to prevent privatization – is particularly galling.
Here you go.

Shooters Twitter.
I’m seeing a lot of rage there but not a lot of context. I assume he was in some sort of protracted legal battle with the paper?
Did you read his resignation letter?
I real ‘a’ resignation letter (I assume you are referring to the first tweet on the list) but that wasn’t signed by him. Is there another further down? I’m on my phone so they are pretty tough to see.
Nope. Misread.
It seems like he’s been angry and fixated on some perceived slight or injustice for a long time. I honestly lost the will to keep reading through. I don’t know how anyone has the energy to stay that angry for that long.
He’s nuts?
As good and succinct and explanation as any.

See my comment below.
The news media are starting to write a summary that’s very similar to mine.
His anger @ the Capital Gazette charts back to their covering his harassment of old HS friend in 2009-2011. they wrote a story where they named him and he spent next 2 years in defamation suit which failed because he’s not a lawyer and a crazy idiot.
between 2013 and 2016 he seemed to spend all day stalking everyone in the court system and the gazette and yelling at clouds about the injustice he suffered.
Recall how i mentioned that there was “nothing at all indicating schizophrenia/mental illness” in that example of the Hollywood guy who scalped his GF?
This guy is screaming “Untreated Mental Illness”
The obsessive behavior and tweeting “leave me alone” at people who literally never speak to him at all is classic schizo “hearing voices” shit
It was signed by a woman. Not sure the relationship.
Jesus. Disgruntled employee. And batshit crazy.
Was my second guess over they printed shit he didn’t like. So, not a surprise.
No I didn’t read carefully. He’s a fruit loop.
I wonder is this ‘Jealous’ guy, gee what a perfect name for a commie, has learned from Obama and has now leaped upon that pile of dead bodies… oops, never mind, none of them were children.
Looks like he doesn’t handle life very well.
This tweet will no doubt be all we here about.
I’m reminded of just how caustic Twitter can be by that tweet’s responses. And yeah, whoever predicted that a schizophrenic stalker shooting up a newspaper he lost a lawsuit against will be somehow blamed on Donald Trump (and Milo Y. for bonus points) is a big ol’ winner.
Fine. It’s Trump’s fault. Stipulating that the POTUS can inspire lunatics hiding in the shadows to ambush shootings, perhaps now would be a good time to talk about a nationwide constitutional carry law. After all, this sounds like the government itself is indirectly attacking American citizens, and I believe that’s precisely what the 2A exists to protect against.
OOooooooK.
My prediction was wrong. He is a lunatic who got in a spat with local government.
Holy shit its like watching a snowball of crazy form in real time. It virtually impossible to decode when the problems started.
I think it might be simpler to read the court document of his defamation suit.
Basically, he’s a crazy stalker who, in his mid 30s, around 2009, decided to stalk an old high school classmate who barely remembered that he ever existed.
It went very south. The stalking culminated in a harassment suit against him in which he lost. He then seems to have transferred his insane stalking-malice against the court system and the judge and the council in his district.
And then, the Capital Gazette got involved, and wrote a story which described the whole stalking thing
At which point he sued them for defamation, and of course lost – at which point he now divided his insane rage between the court system (which in his view had fucked him twice) and the Gazette.
The twitter feed is just a nonstop stream of obscure invective directed at local politics, the courts, and the gazette
At least that’s my decoding of the thing.
So you are saying it’s all Trump’s fault?
Good work, you made a lot more sense of that than I could.

Linking this here because his twitter will likely vanish in the next few hours
the court doc is def the clearest “backstory” anyone could possibly get
I expect the press will still mangle a bunch of details
e.g. ” in his mid 30s, around 2009″
that’s not exactly right. I think he’s 37 now, so he would have been in his late 20s when the whole nuttiness began.
which, not coincidentally, is around the age in which schizos really begin to develop patterns of bad behavior. People most commonly have a “break” in their late-teens/early 20s, but its not uncommon for some to have ‘under the radar’ breaks in mid 20s, and not have severe symptoms become obvious until late 20s or later. maybe never.
But its definitely “bipolar disorder schizoaffective” type thing in my opinion. The personal obsessions, the ability for those obsessions to hopscotch from one target to another, the belief he’s being persecuted, the belief in his own expertise w/ legal technical details that, on closer inspection, he really doesn’t understand at all; he simply seems to collect piles of detail and terminology but there’s little coherence in their use.

On the other hand, a Leftist has finally come up with a plan to privately fund Planned Parenthood without taxes.
Baby steps. But not literally; Planned Parenthood’s fans wouldn’t like that.
“SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — In ruling on bullet-stamping law, California Supreme Court says state laws cannot be invalidated on the grounds that complying with them is impossible.”

Is that part of the FYTW clause of the Constitution? Well, shit, then it’s all good. NEEDZ MOAR OUTLAWS!
It looks like the CSC is staffed with retards in funny robes. I’m not a noted legal scholar or anything but that seems really stupid.
Kristen’s crush getting some love from Instapundit at USA Today.
Just fucking do it already, Donald.
If you gotta trigger them snowflakes, you gotta learn from the best. It’s the Glib way, Donald, if you ever hope to achieve true shitlordism.
White, therefore predestined for greatness, despite his lowly origins.
Brown and black people, regardless of their predecessors, they’re the cursed sons of Ham, destined for drudgery and toil.
…Why do we put up with so much belligerent racism from progs?
I’m watching a YouTube video right now with Alex Jones and Roger Stone saying Andrew Napolitano is at the top of Trump’s list. That’s great news, those guys wouldn’t steer us wroug would they?
Geezus fucking Crikey, you’re giving me multiple orgazamotron solar ejections.
Is that what they are saying? Maybe they are honestly wrong? Or could they be deliberately trolling? Is it because he’s on Fox news? Is there any way to be sure?
It’s like I’ve explained more than one time, OK, many times to my conservative friends. If you think the left hate you, you have no idea how much they have libertarians. You want to truly watch them melt down, just put a libertarian on the Supreme Court.
Can they really tell the difference? As soon as anyone suggests less government, they are categorized as evil.
Yes, actually they can. It is extremely disturbing to them that libertarians agree with them on some social issues, but for the right reasons of course. I have witnessed this first hand so many times. We do not fit their narrative, it is extremely disturbing to them when they cannot fit someone into their perfect mold ‘They hate gays! They want to put people in cages for drugs!’… oh wait, what is our argument against them about how immoral they are? … They want people to keep more of their own money!
I thought it was that we were all uncaring, unemotional, logical, autistic monsters. The real fun comes if you start arguing against the police with a prog.
I most definitely enjoyed calling Obama, their hero, ‘Captain Murder Drone’. Talk about something that discombobulates your opponent. I loved their sudden state of limbo between sudden non-expression look, to deer in the headlights, to ‘is he joking’… ‘what the fuck’… ‘is he making fun of me’…
Something like 26,761 bombs in 2016 and like 15,000 civilian casualties.
And a Nobel prize for peace.
My family is mostly conservative Republican, my brother-in-law’s family is mostly liberal Democrat. I’ve been the one to defuse every political argument at family gatherings by bringing up the sins from both sides. They’ve learned arguing talking points around me goes… poorly.
I doubt it – I think Trump will look for a younger guy.
If it did happen, I would take vacation time just to watch the hearings.
I’d love to see it happen but this is coming from two of the biggest dick wagging shit stirrers on the planet. It’s nice to dream though.
In ruling on bullet-stamping law, California Supreme Court says state laws cannot be invalidated on the grounds that complying with them is impossible.
Why is this so completely believable to me?
California.
You want to truly watch them melt down, just put a libertarian on the Supreme Court.
I thought they were calling Kennedy a libertarian. So we need to replace one-for-one, right?
This should be called “Bootstraps”
